Calvo's eyes were instantly drawn to a metallic curve emerging from the water. Calvo recognized it instantly. It was a combination SCUBA/underwater propulsion unit. The fighter drones that had knocked out the power grid had probably dropped a few into the surf for any prisoners that made it this far. Calvo pulled out a mask and put it over his face while letting the unit drag him underwater. Calvo sank several meters underwater, safe from detection and recapture.
