Chapter 25 by Ganti
So, how does the fight actually go?
Turns out having a plan and a chokepoint can make things one sided
The goblins are trying to push through, but the simple fact is that the ones that got in the tower are outnumbered. Your Walking Corpses are holding the line remarkably well; despite their lacking quite a bit (Such as, say, the ability to pick up a weapon) they can feel neither pain nor fear, so they simply won't fall back unless you order them to. And you're not going to. Another chill ray topples one of the goblins still outside, and the goblin that was fighting two of your Walking Corpses goes down under their unrelenting fists. One of the goblins outside takes its place, but the other two are looking very unsettled now... which is promptly greatly increased as the recently slain goblin stirs, hauling itself up by grabbing its replacement and slamming it's fist into their face.
The two unengaged goblins promptly turn tail and flee, and you grit your teeth. You'd like to go after them, but the doorway to your tower is packed, and by the time it's clear they'll have enough of a lead that you'd have to pursue them to their lair to take them on- and you're not daft enough to do that without preparation. Your undead minions may be largely immune to the nasty tricks goblins use to make up for their individual frailness, but you're not. And Walking Corpses are stupid enough that you'd need to micromanage them. Which would require walking into the goblins' den. No thank you. You have no particular desire to get yourself killed. ESPECIALLY not to goblinoids, sadistic beasts they are. You grit your teeth at the admission of weakness, but reluctantly turn your attention back to the melee in the doorway. The one on one fights are closely matched, but in favor of your undead. The other one... you turn your attention back just as that goblin goes down under the relentless pounding of the three Walking Corpses fighting it. They promptly break off and swarm the last two goblins, and you turn your attention to more important matters matters.
So what's the most notable thing you have to deal with?
