Try to find the showers.

After calming down she used the position of the last flickering lamppost to guess the approximate direction of the sanitary block.

She had to be extra careful now, crawling under windows each caravan she crossed and between tents in a few lots to avoid the alleys. She was unsure if the two redneck were chasing the dog that peed on their tires.

On one occasion she was stuck for more than ten minutes between some tents, not daring to move because the occupants of one of them were awake. Very awake, a concert of moans and grunts could be heard from outside, what impressed Katie the most was that she counted at least three different voices, maybe more. She did get away one careful step at a time and wetter in some places than before.

She finally reached the promised land, too late but it was still useful to her. She rushed into a stall, trying to ignore the smell or what she was stepping in. She had felt her stomach grumbling since she had to pee and had been afraid she would also mess herself outside.

Once her business done she wiped herself and found a shower stall by the dim light of the sole flickering neon tube still working. She enjoyed herself taking a long shower of lukewarm water, getting rid of the sweat, pee and other things that could be stuck to her skin.

She obviously didn't have a towel, but she had an idea, one that could solve at least two of her problems. She unrolled a bunch of toilet paper to dry herself, even more useful it was some low cost unperforated paper that you have to rip on the casing to get a piece of. Once dry she began rolling some around her body until she was wearing a paper set of underwear.

She was uncomfortable with how much the bottoms reminded her of diapers but she would be a lot more comfortable been found wearing that than nothing at all.

Now all she had to do was to get back to her sleeping bag, preferably without encountering anyone.
