Chapter 7 by Suckersoprano
What does Dago do now?
Try to break up the crowd.
Getting through this crowd wasn’t as easy as Dago thought it might have been, without throwing people around and basically throwing his weight around, which wouldn’t have gone over well. He pulled Hakan closer to him and grabbed his other arm.
“Hakan, someone’s trying to start a gasoline fire just behind the crowd,” he muttered as quietly as he could through the din of the crowd.
“What-but!” Hakan said in confusion and panic.
Dago could smell the fire all of a sudden. Someone had apparently dropped the match behind a building, but the gasoline was spreading out into the street. Hakan seemed to sense that Dago was waiting for the disaster instead of paying attention to him.
“Feuer!” he cried, causing some of the people in the crowd to quiet down, “Feuer!”
The protest immediately broke up and people were thrown into immediate panic. The fire was immediately obvious once people started to scream. It was beginning to catch onto the surrounding buildings. Hakan was the one who began to run this time. Dago started after him, but he stopped when he saw an eagle in the air. That… that wasn’t a good sign. He didn't figure birds of prey hung around large cities, and especially oversized eagles...
“Hakan!” Dago yelled.
Does Hakan hear him?
