Chapter 7
What do you do now?
Try To Run Again.
The other two creatures, seemingly sensing your proximity, retreat quickly out of sight. Unbeknownst to you they are content to let your abductor try again to capture you.
The creature looks straight at you before pawing the ground and hunching down to charge at you, its chest cavity opening wider, numerous longer tentacles flay out in front of it.
Panic grips your mind as you jump up and run! You do your best to run as fast as you can, but that doesn't stop you from glancing over your shoulder and what you see causes you to scream in fear, the creature is charging at you!
You turn back to see where you are going and make straight for a thicket of trees. Even sprinting as fast as you can you can hear the gimp beast quickly catch up, you run straight for a tree but then jump to one side to throw it off! Your nimbleness is rewarded with an almighty *THUMP* as the creature slams into the tree, nearly knocking it over!
You inhale quickly and jump to your feet to take off once more, buoyed by your small victory. However before you can take off, the monster ensnares your right ankle with one of its elongated tentacle arms!
"Aaahhh!" Your foot caught and held fast, you lose balance and fall over into the soft latex grass, your curl around and attempt to grab the tentacle and unwrap it. You grasp the tip with both hands and pull hard on it. surprisingly it is firm but weak enough for you to uncoil it, despite it shuddering and flailing in your hands in an attempt to throw you off. However you hold on and quickly pull it free!
Can you get up and run?
