Truth Serum

Lauren removed the test tube from the Bunsen burner, swishing it around as the odorless blue liquid slowly turned into an odorless clear liquid. If Lauren had her calculations correct, this meant that her truth serum was officially done. If anyone drank this, then they would instantly answer truthfully to any question that was asked to them. Lauren smirked as she thought about the Secret Service, the FBI, the CIA, the Army, or even the MIB going into a bidding war with one another over her latest invention. She would make millions no matter who won!

First, however, she needed a guinea pig to see if this worked properly, and to see just how long the effects lasted. Fortunately, she had thought ahead and invited the perfect test subject over.

“Speaking of which…” Lauren said, turning to the door of her lab and walking down the stairs to her kitchen. Once she arrived in the kitchen, she took two glasses out of the cupboard and sat them on the table. Lauren filled the glasses with water before pouring the truth serum into the glass for her guest. She mixed the serum with a spoon, before tossing it in the sink.

Lauren removed her lab coat as the doorbell rang, causing the woman to grin wildly. Her test subject had arrived!
