Trini & Sakura finds a few Maids in Waiting

With the rest of the guild getting a few...errands...out of the way, and Valnora doing what she must do, Trini & Valnora went to the chamber, where the maids-in-waiting of the court lived in. Reasonably enough, many of the older ones were packing up whatever meager belongings they had, hoping to find a way out. The Amazon & the Neko Shamaness, though, found a few of the younger ones that seemed to fit what they were looking for. To Trini's eyes, there were three of them in a corner, no older than 16, but no younger than 18 either; and they were full-bodied and healthy.

"You're not thinking what I'm thinking, right, Trini?" Sakura looked up to Trini.

"Turning them into warriors?" Trini looked back to Sakura. "No, but I think I can at least train them to be able to defend themselves, when we return home."

"Is that a joke?" Sakura looked to her quizzically. "I know that as an Amazon, you like teaching young women self-defense when you have the time; but not all women either enjoy it, or want to learn."

"One more woman that can defend herself in a time of need," Trini responded, "is one less woman being **** or sexually assaulted against her will, no matter the end result. If her chosen man can't have her, then no man can have her. You, of all the guild mates, know that."

Sakura was going to respond, but then one of those young women in question, came forward. She was a dark-haired woman, mid-back length, with dark blue eyes, full lips, and sensible curves for one of the bigger, more full-bodied maids-in-waiting. She gave the friendly curtsey to Trini & Sakura, who returned the friendly gesture in return.

"Wow, I never thought I'd see an Amazon & a Neko this close before." The woman paused, before speaking further. "Trenity & Sakura of the Briarwolf Guild, no?"

"That is correct, fair lady." Trini responded with a smile. "Would you like to introduce yourself, please?"

"I'm Eleanora." The maid-in-waiting responded promptly. "I see that you've been eyeing me and the two other ladies in the corner?" She pointed to the smaller, blonde-haired, light-skinned woman to the left, and the brown-haired, darker-skinned woman to the right. "The blondie is Amie, the darker-skinned woman next to her in Rosalina."

"Amie, and Rosalina..." Trini looked to Eleanora, as she took a closer look at the two young women. "It looks like the three of you get along together, and apparently ready to evacuate, at any time."

"The king believes everything will be better once the earthquakes stop." Eleanora looked to Trini. "But I know better, since I was born and raised on a volcanic island far to the west, before my family moved here to pursue their mercantile dreams. These earthquakes are unnatural."

"They are, indeed." Trini nodded. "And life outside the castle walls can be dangerous, too. If you, Amie, and Rosalina are willing, you can move to the Briarwolf Guild house; where one of the lesser nobles of this kingdom is already evacuating to, and work with her. In return, I can teach the three of you some basics in self-defense, for those events where a man gives you unwanted attention."

"Combat training, from an Amazon?" Eleanor looked to Amie & Rosalina, then back to Trini & Sakura. "Well, I never thought about it. Yet, I do not think it will hurt to learn something that will help me live on, and..."

Eleanor was going to continue to speak, but then the next...unnatural...earthquake struck, and it grew bigger by the second. That sent the maids-in-waiting scrambling and screaming, and scurrying to grab their things, and run.

"All of you, get to the airship docked to the southeast, now!" Trini grabbed Amie & Rosalina, just as some pieces of heavy wood & stone fell over where they were just standing. Then she & Sakura directed the ladies towards the airship.
