Chapter 36 by GenocideHeart
Who is it?
Tri'lanna?
You stare in confusion as your Elven companion tiptoes into your room, glancing left and right furtively. Contrary to the late hour, Tri'lanna is dressed like she's ready to leave at that very moment. She is wearing a fresh, cotton-weave shirt dyed dark blue and a pair of tanned, form-fitting trousers. Her feet are covered only by a pair of black socks and she's holding her travelling boots in one hand.
"Tri'lanna, I'm happy you came to visit me so late, but aren't you a little overdressed for that kind of thing?" You tease her lightly. After what she's put you through, turnabout is fair play.
Tri'lanna gives you a look that could burn rocks, but silently closes the door behind her after she walks into your room.
"There is a time and a place, Hans. And this is not it." The elfmaid says, firmly but gently.
"We came here to find information on the Shining Stone, nothing else." She reminds you, "I plan on leaving at the earliest moment. And no moment is too early, with them around." She didn't have to explain who she meant by 'them'.
You hop off the bed and walk towards your belongings, nestled in the corner of the room next to a small stool. Despite the luxury and the attention of a beautiful, if somewhat haughty, elven woman, you are actually quite eager to leave yourself. Something about Lady Morianara worries you, and it's not the sex-laden comments. You just wish you could put your finger on it.
"I'm ready to leave whenever you want." You say, buckling on your axe and sword. "Let's wake up Ceinwyn, and get moving."
"Therein lies the problem - I can't find her." Tri'lanna says nervously. "She wasn't in her room when I looked in on her."
"Do you know where else she might be?"
"I think I might know who would...but I'm not too eager to speak to her."
Who does Tri'lanna suggest?
