In some odd way the necklace had been waiting long too...for this exact moment...

FLASH!!!

Suddenly a green bright light would engulf Rebekah's sight as she felt the precious gem. It felt unknown in texture despite it looking like a normal gem at first. The light was calming and warm, but she felt like head was on a cloud. After a while she was met with a stupendous sight: she was not in her dorm anymore.

The surrounding area was now partly a void but slowly filling up with rising cubicle pillars. In the center was a massive green crystal surrounded by a fountain underneath it. The fountain looked to have regular water but was now filling up with a silver chrome pool of metallic fluid.

Rebekah asked "Where am I? What the hell happened?!"

"Do not fear, user." Said a slightly feminine and entrancing robotic voice. The voice originating from the crystal.

"Whoa...okay...what do you want with me?" Said Rebekah, still in the cautious side as she stared at the crystal.

"I am the Merge Necklace. I go by many other names but for you, you can call me either necklace or Yna. To make things easier for the user Rebekah, I will simply say that you're lucky to have found me, because with my abilities I can surely show you what more there is life. I can show you facets of life that some humanoids may never experience." said the voice.

"Wow...talk about perfect timing..." said Rebekah, still having trouble believing this.

"Do you wish to know what I am capable of?" asked Yna.

Rebekah thought for a moment before looking around at her situation. A switch flicked on her head. It was the one that said, "stupid human must play with powers she does not understand". The media always painted that as ending badly...but realistically no one was ever given this.

"Okay, go ahead. First of all why are you called the...Merge Necklace?" asked Rebekah with a curious look.

"As the name implies, the necklace is bound by the purpose to manipulate all things based on the concept of merging." said Yna.

"Um...explain? And what do you mean, all things?" asked Rebekah, a little dumbfounded by that.

"To explain in detail, the necklace can treat atoms and particles equal to, as if they were under the cellular concept of symbiosis. And as stated...nothing is beyond its reach." said Yna, plainly.

Rebekah did a double take. She's a collegiate and she's smart. She knows what's being described here bends the laws of conservation and physics several times over. This could all be a dream for what she knows. She was on her bed when this happened so thats highly plausible. However if what Yna says is true...

"Okay...so with this thing...I could be some sort of...god of symbiosis?" asked Rebekah, a little astounded this was coming out of her mouth.

"Correct. There are more scientific and complex terms to describe it, but this will do. I will however note that you are the newest user after such a long time." said Yna.

"Who was the first? And really no, how does this work?" asked Rebekah.

"The creator of the device, Ora. She was a humanoid alien lifeform that lived a time before life appeared on your planet. She created the gem out of Singulysium. An element that harnessed the power of a singularity. She was part of the civilizations that lived on planets in your solar system. At the time, people were dying of a plague and she was a researcher for her race on Mars. Upon discovery of the highly volatile and rare element, she kept it secret, experimenting with it's properties. She had found out how it's compressed particle energy could effect the world around it on several levels. She used it's energy to create stronger resources for her race by fusing materials that would not necessarily bond together. It did however have other properties that progressed her evolution and the evolution of her people also. This further became real as at one time she accidentally fused with her lab assistant. Her mental acuity and capabilities grew as a result, along with a change of personality. After the accident, she embraced the change and further used it again, this time gaining powers through the act of fusing. It became necessary for her to increase a large crystal of this size before in mass but still become easily used. Using the crystal's powers she created a computer capable of calculating the syngulysium's necessary adjustments to compress into a powerful singular object. Eventually the necklace was crafted, ascending her to godhood. She led her people out of this system to find a better life. In the course of her rule she left a lasting legacy but could not bring herself to give the necklace to any of her followers. In her last days having it she simply sent it to your planet, in hopes it produced a like minded individual like her as she believes humans are primitive enough to make interesting choices like she did first off." Explained Yna in great detail.

Rebekah listened to the story and felt impressed with the mythical aesthetic of the enlightenment in it. Not only was the figure in it getting her cake, but she seemed to be eating a of it as well and more. This Ora also threw away that cake for someone else, which sounds odd because nobody just does that with godhood...or do they? Rebekah continued to listen to Yna wondering how she got into this.

"At first I was to present the operation of the necklace at a base function to you, progressing with each actions taken with it...but I have recalculated and noticed that your academic life as a human is mostly acclimated by use of electronic devices in your society. I have adapted the necklace with easy access via holographic display with prompts and commands. Now that I have explained my functions, do you wish to proceed with my usage?" asked Yna.

Rebekah was cautious. All of this could still be a dream for all she knew. If that were certain though, having no regrets here was fine.

"Okay I will bite. What's my first choice here?" asked Rebekah as there was now a long list of commands that popped in front of her while in here.
