Too soon to tell

Blake Lively appears to be here alone, so you have no reservations about going up to her as she mingles around the party and introducing yourself to her.

"The party scene is not usually my thing John," she tells you after you two have talked for awhile, "but I thought I would come and check this one out. Haven't been to one for awhile."

You are intrigued that Blake would be so honest with someone she just met, so you continue to follow her around and talk to her, Blake seeming to get more comfortable around you.

"You're a different kind of guy than most who come to these parties John," she tells you as the two of you share your third drink, Blake starting to get a little tipsy, "because you haven't hit on me once."

As you explained to her that it was mostly because you are new in town and don't want to make any waves, Blake continued.

"I appreciate that in a man," she tells you, a hand on your thigh, "because I don't come to these things to be hit on or to "hook up" with someone."

You want to leave after hearing her basically tell you you have no shot of hooking up with her, but something makes you decide to stay.
