To the village below

As you walk the path down from the tower to the village below, you remember the advice your tutor first gave you.

'You will not be able to complete this quest alone recruit a group around you to safely escort you on your way'

You know of a tavern in the town where such help can be hired and Alaria has provided you with a letter to take to a veteran soldier named Shal, who resides at the edge of the village. Shal owes a debt to the tower which you intend on calling upon. Both of these can wait you decide as you first approach the village stables, sighting a young stable hand lazily standing at the gates.

'Hail' you say as you approach

'Well met' the stable hand replies

'I wish to purchase one of your horses for my travels' you state to him

'Come from the tower eh'? he replies. 'Twenty gold for a fine steed for you'

'Too rich surely you can do better?' you counter

He sizes you up before replying 'The lowest I can say is fifteen gold or perhaps we can come to a trade'?. At this he scratches his groin and winks at you.
