Chapter 21

What one will he pick then?
To the mall it is
"Yeah, fine...!" Jack finally agreed with Kate, as he found that the mall was probably the better option for today, rather than going to the beach. It would be cooler inside at least, and they could always take a swim in their pool instead when they came back. Or so he reasoned at least, while the truth was that he simply wasn't amused by the idea of spending his afternoon surrounded by girls bikinis.
Not that this was usually a problem for him, but over the last few days it seemed like he'd gained an almost unhealthy interest in young women, and to such a degree that he found it difficult to keep his eyes off even his own daughters.
He almost changed his mind though, when he realized that Catherine intended to go shopping in the clothes she was wearing, and was only mildly relieved when she put on a short leather jacket over that minimal top. It meant she was still showing off her entire midriff, but the overall impression wasn't quite as skimpy as before, and once again Jack was **** to admit to himself that the girl certainly knew how to dress to look good.
Meanwhile, Kimberly seemed just a little bit vexed over the fact they'd chosen the mall instead of the lake, but was already in a good mood again when they were headed for the car. She was never let down for long after all, and she was in fact the most enthusiastic of the bunch when they were on their way. What Jennifer thought about the whole ordeal was a bit more difficult to tell, but at least she never caused any ruckus like her sisters used to do from time to time, so it was probably fine either way.
About twenty minutes later they'd parked the car outside the large mall, near the center of their small town, and Jack was a little surprised there wasn't as many cars around as he'd thought. Apparently most customers had already left for the day, or they simply had better things to do on a Friday afternoon. Such as going to the beach, for example.
Another thing that baffled him, and always had, was the sheer amount of clothing stores that could be found in the same building. For all he cared there was really only the need for one, or perhaps two such stores with different offers, but to some people it apparently wasn't enough with more than a dozen.
"Would you mind giving me your opinion on a few things...?" Catherine asked him kindly as they walked through the front doors, and Jack found himself nodding absently, despite of his warning bells going off immediately. The other two girls had already wandered off as soon as they arrived though, and without much to do there by himself it seemed like he'd got some time to spare.
On the other hand he was fairly certain that Kate would just drag him ruthlessly through every single one of those shops, until his brain was about to kill itself in plain disgust, and there simply had to be something better he could waste his time on...
So, what will it be?

Girls of Jack
One man's world has been turned upside down, but he may find hope in the most unexpected places.
A story which I hope to work on when I have the time for it. For now it's closed for others, but I'll gladly accept ideas and suggestions for how to improve or continue the story! I've now started adding conditions, which is how I planned it from the start. So far it's recommended to read without activating the play function, but please try it out if you want, and let me know if you find something odd about the scoring.
