Chapter 3 by bruinonfire bruinonfire

Cargo Bay 2

To the Cargo Bay...

Walking in, a chill creeps up your spine. The room is dark, filled with an eerie green glow. Slowly, you approach Seven's regeneration chamber, finding her still regenerating. "Good," you think to yourself. "She's asleep...er, whatever."

Taking a deep breath, you open your tricorder, performing the assigned diagnostic. As you scan her, you can't help but take notice of her rather stunning beauty. Her ice blue eyes are closed, but her lips are full and red. Her hair, the color of hay in August, is up, bound behind her head, allowing a full view of her long,s lender neck, toned arms, full breasts, trim waist, and--

"Crewman. What are you doing?"

"AHH!" You step back, startled, staring into those ice blue eyes now locked on you.

"Crewman, I asked you a question."

"The Doctor...told me to perform a diagnostic on your ocular implant."

She raises an eyebrow. "You may continue." She relaxes in her chamber, though she doesn't close her eyes. You approach tentatively, then resume the scan, though feeling a bit more anxious as she stands there, still, silent.

"I'm sorry to have woken you," you say. She continues standing, still silent. "I mean, I was trying to be quiet."

Beat.

"So...did you do anything interest--"

"This conversation is irrelevant to your diagnostic."

"Right," you say, finishing and closing your tricorder. "Right. Sorry. I'm done."

You step away, walking back towards the cargo bay door, but stop, and turn. "Small talk isn't irrelevant, Seven. If you tried it, you might realize that."

She opens her mouth as if to speak, but you turn and leave.
