Chapter 7
by grimbous
What does she need?
To find her sister
"What is it Yarofaris?" Dan asks.
The half-elf struggles to her feet with Dan's help. "It's my sister. She was taken by this same tribe of goblins just a few weeks ago." She leans on Dan for support, he can smell her honey sweet fragrance. "I was probably being taken to where she is being kept. If she's alive at all!" She wails. "If we can follow the goblins to their lair...maybe you could save her? And any other women they might have there." She beseeches Dan with her **** emerald eyes.
Just then Conor pipes up. "Holy shit! Have you guys seen my tits! They're fucking huge!" He had stopped looking out for the goblins and was currently looking down at his new body. He pulls his loose tank top out so he can look down his shirt at his breasts. He laughs. "When I get to a mirror I am so going to jack off to myself."
Kirstie gives him a look of disgust. "First of all this isn't funny, any of this. Second of all, jack off with what...Skanky?"
A look of sheer horror crosses the half-orcs face. Dropping the club Conor reaches both hands down into the fur loin cloth he was wearing. He reaches around, feeling only his new womanhood. He looks to the others. "Oh fuck!" He falls back, landing on the ground on his big fat derriere as the reality of the situation slowly continues to dawn on him.
Sara looks at the emotionally fragile blonde half-elf they had just rescued. "Could you give us a moment, please?"
Yarofaris is confused, but she nods. She steps back from Dan then takes a few steps away from the group.
The four come together around Conor who had lifted his loincloth to stare at his hairy cooch. Sara limped as she walked.
Kirstie starts. "What the hell is happening guys? Is this a dream? Is any of this real? Are you guys real?" Her beautiful dark features scan the unfamiliar faces around her. Besides Dan she didn't know the others beforehand, now they felt even more like strangers.
Sara rubs her sore knee. "Oh it's real, real as can be." She then looks ill. "You should have seen what those goblins were doing to that poor woman."
Dan looks at his girlfriend with concern. "You or Lillith ought to be able to cure that knee. If we're level one you'll need to stay at full hit points to hope to survive."
The other three look at him in confusion. "Survive? Cure? Level One? Hit Points?" Kirstie gripes. "This isn't your stupid make believe game Dan..."
He cuts her off. "But don't you see, yes it is. That is exactly what it is. We ARE our characters. We are in a D&D world."
"That's impossible." Conor whines.
"Yep, yet here we are." Dan says. "Listen guys, I don't know what is going on either. But it is obvious. We are our characters. I'm Olius." He spreads his arms wide and looks down at himself. "This is exactly how I imagined him." He then points to the others. "You're Skanky, you're Lillith, and you're Lexori. These are exactly the characters we just built. And those things..." He gestures to the dead creatures nearby. "...those are goblins and she's a half elf or an elf. We're definitely in a D&D world guys. I don't know how, but we are here and it is real."
"Well how do we get back then!?" Kirstie asks impatiently, looking to her brother as if he had all of the answers.
"I...I don't know." He sighs. "Listen...If I was Dungeon Master our way back would lie at the end of a long quest. The ad for Damien's game said 'The Ultimate Campaign'. I think we might be here for a while. But..." He adds with a depressing tone. "...I have no idea what the quest is. Maybe it's connected to these goblins."
Sara shakes her head. "No, it's the dice. Did you guys notice the dice?"
All of the others look at her, obviously not understanding. "The dice. When we were in the room, when we were transforming, even when we got here. They were there, glowing different colors. I think they are the key to this whole thing. When we showed up they shot out in all directions before they disappeared."
Dan snaps his fingers. "The Rod of Seven Parts!" The others look at him in bewilderment. He looks at them. "A classic style of campaign. We probably have to collect the set, each die will be a quest of its own. Likely one will lead to the next." He adds, more to himself. "Yeah...that's got to be it. Collect the dice set to get home. Hmm...probably have to start with the d4..."
Kirstie hisses. "Quessst!? I want to go home now! I don't want to be a monster! What have you gotten me into Dan!?" The blame in her statement is unmistakable. "I want to go home!" The tall regal dragonborn in dominatrix leather armor acting like the pouty 18 year old Kirstie would have been quite humorous had the situation been different.
Dan places a hand on her...wing. "I know Kirstie...I know. We all do."
Conor mutters in disbelief, not really following the conversation. "I've got no dick...I've got no dick...I loved my dick. It was my favorite thing."
Yarofaris finally steps forward once more. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but...I'm terribly worried for my sister. Are you going to go after her? If not I should get home and tell my father the area these goblins brought me to. He's only a farmer...but maybe he could get some men together..." Her head falls as she realizes the hopelessness of that idea. "Please save my sister! You are her only hope." She begs.
Dan turns to her and with a gentle tone says. "Please wait over there Yarofaris. You've...you've caught us at a bad time. Just give us some time." He was thinking if they couldn't even manage to heal Sara's leg what chance do they have against a lair of goblins. They needed to figure out how to tap into some of their abilities before another fight broke out. It looked like Conor had figured out how to rage, but they were going to need more than that.
He turns back to Sara and Kirstie. "Okay, no matter what we end up doing that knee should get mended. I know that the ability to heal is in at least one of you. We just need to figure out how to get it to work."
