Chapter 8
by grimbous
Who heals Lexori's leg?
Lillith Lay on Hands
Dan looks at Sara, it is then he notices that the Tiefling has an extremely subtle smell to her. The closest thing he could compare it to was a barely perceptible smooth rich aroma of a quality pipe tobacco, it was extremely pleasing to the nose. He asks. "Did you take Cure Wounds as a spell Sara?"
She shakes her head. "No Olius, I didn't..." The two look at each other a moment. "Sorry...Dan. I meant to say Dan." She then looks to the others with a grim expression. "Are you guys...having thoughts and...I don't know...memories...that aren't your own and yet...sort of are." She points at the sword still stuck in the goblin. "I could have never done that before."
They all nod their heads in affirmation. All of them could sense things floating around their heads that were new and foreign, it was disconcerting. As they do so Kirstie suddenly gets a very concerned look on her face. In thinking about these strange new ideas in her head her mind had brushed against the resolute faith of Lillith the Paladin. Faith like this was something she had never experienced as Kirstie. Most soul shaking thing of all was the sense that this faith was a two way street. There was someone or something out there that was waiting to hear from her and that cared about her. There was someone there just waiting to be reached out to.
She reaches out and takes her brother by the shoulder for support. With wide eyes she looks at him. "We're...we're not alone. I'm not alone. Oh my god!" She was terrified. Grabbing her head with both hands she gasps. "I can feel someone else in me...it's not Lillith..." She almost begins hyperventilating. "It's a he...he's so...I'm so small...so small...he's a god Dan! He's a god!"
In her mind Kirstie was getting tiny glimpses of her deity. A towering dark and fearsome figure, yet also caring. Part of her held a great love for this figure. She hears the clink of chains and the creak of leather. In just a flash she sees herself submitting to him. Bound before him and awaiting his mercies. She trembles in fear. She whimpers. "Oh my god..."
Dan could only guess at what his sister was experiencing. As the only religious class she had an insight into certain elements of this world that the others wouldn't. Ducking in under her wing he wraps an arm around her long slender waist to help support her. "It's okay Kirstie. Just block it out, focus on us."
She shakes her head. "No...no wait." She looks at the Tiefling as she experiences a revelation. "I can heal that leg. I know how."
Dan was really having second thoughts. If this was indeed a real world what would the effect be of interacting with real gods? Petty and selfish D&D style gods. How would this effect his sister?
Sara nods. "Okay, let's try it." She sits on the ground beside Skanky and hitches up her skirt enough to expose her shapely rosy thigh. An ugly purple bruise could already be seen forming around the back of her knee.
As if in a trance Kirstie kneels down and places both her clawed black hands on Sara's knee. "Do you submit to the mercies of my lord and massster?" She asks in a monotone voice.
The other three look at each other with great concern. This wasn't normal.
Sara finally responds. "Um...yes?" From Conor and Dan's point of view nothing happens, but not so for Sara. With her two big hands Kirstie grips the leg just above and below the knees, holding it down so it can't move. Sara watches a bit perplexed when suddenly her eyes widen and her mouth opens wide. "Ow....ow ow ow...AHHHHHHH! AH!" She cries out and throws her body back into the rough grass and arches her back. She writhes in both agony and pleasure as the Lord of the Lash's healing power flows into her leg. His magic is not gentle. The others are about to step in when, as quickly as it began, it stops. Both women are still and quiet.
Kirstie looks to Sara with her inky black eyes. "Did it work?"
Sara sits up once more, a look of amazement on her gorgeous infernal features. "Uhhh...yeah." Indeed the bruising had disappeared and the knee felt good as new. "That felt...unique. Like pleasure and pain made one." She takes Kirstie's scaly hand. "Thank you." Kirstie just smiles and nods as she stands back up, she was obviously shaken though.
Dan was seriously wondering if they were up to taking on these goblins Yarofaris spoke of. But leaving Yarofaris' sister and whatever other women were there to those goblins seemed unacceptable. Both Sara and Conor had each single handedly taken out a goblin. Granted they had the element of surprise. But if the group worked together and were smart about it they just might be able to do this, even if they weren't at full effectiveness yet.
Conor was getting to his feet. He had come to grips with things for the time being and was desperately in need of a distraction. Killing some goblins is just what he had signed up for in this 'game', it was just going to be a bit more hands on than expected. "Okay, let's go save some maidens." He takes up the Mighty Wang and grips it tight.
Yarofaris runs forward. "Oh thank you! I knew you were heroes."
The others were less convinced but they saw no harm in at least going to look. Maybe it was something they could handle. Also, it just felt right somehow. Taking up their equipment they ready to leave. Lex-Sara retrieves her sword and cleans the blood from it on the goblin raggedy clothing nearby, she marvels again at how skillfully she had wielded this blade. Skanky-Conor is impatient to get moving, once more pacing and looking for signs of movement. Olius-Dan has a look of concentration as he rifles through his mind trying to figure out how to access the magic he knew he had within him. And Lillith-Kirstie has a sort of thousand yard stare as she continues to come to grips with what she had just done and how she had done it.
Without anything more being said they begin to move through the bright Autumn forest.
