Without thinking much, Amy ran to the nearest door and pulled on the handle. Locked. The next door was locked too. She could hear footsteps around the corner, getting closer and closer. The third door opened. Amy first took a peek inside and then hid in what looked like an empty classroom. The chairs were put up, so maybe there wouldn’t be any more classes that day.
The footsteps were getting closer and closer now. Suddenly, they stopped right at the door. Amy hid under the desk and waited.
Whoever it was, the person opened the door, looked around without entering and closed it. Amy sighed with relief. And prematurely, because now she heard a faint jingle of keys. The stranger slid one in the lock and turned it two times. Amy swallowed. She was locked in now. No telling how much longer until someone opens the door.
And when that happens, that someone will likely find her there, stark naked.
