To Battle

As the Queen looked at Anya and smiled, she pulled her alongside and stated, “It is time for us to test our forces in battle ….against Delta Squad.”

This shook Anya for a minute. She was about to go to war against the very squad that she was a part of., the family she was a part of. She would have to look down the barrel of her own gun and see Marcus Fenix in her sights …and pull the trigger.

As they walked side by side outside the Holy Temple doors, Anya spotted 2 large winged creatures. One was dubbed the ‘Tempest’, a large Locust steed more massive than the usual Hydras most Locust fly in on. And to the right of it was another one of the same. Queen Myrrah’s smile shown bright as she guided Anya to it.

“Your way to battle shall be on the wings of destiny,” Myrrah’s mind spoke to Anya, her arm pointing to the massive, armored beast. Anya grinned. For the first time ever, she felt like she was headed towards the final battle …a battle that was certain.

She bowed low to her Queen, her mind communicating with Myrrah, “You honor me your Majesty. The final fight begins now!” Anya climbed the great beast as did the Queen, flying off to the last COG outpost.
