To A Teacher.

The waves of panic overtook her and before she even realized what was going on she had only one thought as the contraction peaked, she had to confess to a teacher. They would be able to get help, and to hell with the consequences. Defiantly, she **** herself on as the contraction, the first really bad one she had felt, squeezed more and more. Still she fought her way across the field and toward the gym entrance. The group of girls who they had hid from earlier were no longer around, but she knew there had to be teachers inside.

Finally she made it across and inside the building. Finding the first teacher she saw, she almost collapsed as another contraction ceased her belly and caused her water to break.

Hours later she was lying in a hospital bed while the surprisingly small baby lay in an incubator to her left. He mother had arrived shortly after she had delivered but had yet to even say anything. All she did was sit in the corner, silent and staring, utterly detached. Not that Danny cared, she knew in her heart that she had done what she needed, and she was certain that she would continue to do that long after. Sure there would be questions. Sure there would be comments by the other students. Sure there would be rumors when she returned to school, but she didn’t care.

There was a soft knock on the door as a woman with a suit entered. In her hand were the papers she needed to give up the child, letting her have her life back, and that was after, all she wanted.
