Time to go

As the train began breaking to arrive into the station you smiled as you placed your hand onto the train booth door the shadow sigil being absorbed into your hand. You showed your hand to Harmony showing her the same sigil on your hand.

You flipped your hand only for the sigil to not be on your hand anymore. As you opened the door you smiled before you turned back to Harmony. “It was nice to meet you Harmony” You said as you walked out of train booth out if the train onto the station platform.

Making your way through the city of Maxwell you stepped onto a bus paying the bus fare before making your way to the skyscraper of Weber and Schmidt Law Practice entering the building you approached the front desk where a petite woman sat answering phone calls.

“Hello my name is Nathan BlackThorn I am here to see James Weber.” You said politely to the woman. The woman sighed before replying. “Sir do you have an appointment with Mr. Weber? He is a very busy man and not very easy to get ahold of you know.” The woman said as she pressed a button on one of her telephones.

You nodded to the woman who only pressed another button before bring the receiver to her mouth before speaking. “Sir I have a Mr. Nathan BlackThorn for you here in the lobby saying he’s needs to speak with you.” The woman's eyes lit up as she nodded and talked to the man over the phone before hanging up the phone and taking out a wand pointed it to the elevator opening it up before hanging up the phone and turning to you once more.

“Mr. BlackThorn that elevator will take you Mr. Weber on the top floor.” She said before going back to answering phone calls. Looking at the elevator you made you way to the elevator entering it before the doors closed behind and began ascending.

You clutched the letter in your hand feeling nervous before the elevator doors opened revealing another secretary who simply pointed you to the door. Taking a deep breath you stepped into the office where you two men one with blond hair and blue eyes while the other was a bald man with piercing green eyes.

The blond man beckoned you over before he spoke. “Hello Nathan my name is James Weber and this is Hans Schmidt I am sure you read the letter so let me get to the point. Your father Ambrose left a trust fund to care for you when finished your first semester at a magical institution in your case Ash Forest Academy. Now he has left over 1.5 Billion Maxims for you to spend as you see fit you only need to sign here and our Law firm will dispense the funds and don’t worry your father has already covered our fees so feel free to refer to us for any and all of your legal counsel or representatives if needed Mr. Blackthorn.”

Mr. Weber said as he took out an official looking document with a lot of writing before he pointed where to sign and placing a personnel business card on the table next to the document along with a Rothschild banking debit card.

“Keep those two cards on you at all times Mr. BlackThorn and if you ever need legal representation or counsel simply present my business card either to our front desk or the constables and I will take it from there.” Mr. Weber said with a smile. You nodded as signed the document before taking the two cards and putting them in your wallet.

You bid the two lawyers goodbye before taking the elevator down back to the streets of Maxwell. The sunlight seemed to slam in your face you realized what had just happened you were now rich as can be certainly not as rich as the Ashcrofts, Remington, Ironoaks or the Silverford families but with this money you could finally begin changing the BlackThorn name not mention securing your own future.

Yet as you walked the streets of Maxwell you kept seeing glares and whispering here and there with people doing everything from people actively avoiding you like the plague or yelling at you calling you a murderer. It seemed you had a lot of work to do before you family name would carry honor once more.
