After finishing dealing, Jessica picked up her cards:

2 of Hearts

3 of a kind, Jessica thought to herself. She was really starting to enjoy herself, especially since it looked like she'd probably be able to go 2 hands in a row without losing anything.

As Jessica dealt out the number of cards Bev, Tony, & Denise had asked for, she reflected on what had led her to this game. She'd gotten a little wild when the divorce with Nick had finalized. Maybe she was looking for a little payback because of Nick's womanizing. The fact that he'd all but accused her of sleeping around in that magazine interview had really pissed her off. So it was no surprise that after a night of clubbing, she found herself having a 1-night stand with Heath Ledger. Heath was only the 2nd man she'd ever been with in her entire life, & she found him infinitely more satisfying than the self-centered Nick. Afterwards, they'd talked about a number of things including, strangely enough, Heath's passion for strip poker. Jessica acted put-off by the subject, but Heath had detected her hidden interest.

The next thing she knew, she found herself at the poker table with Denise Richards & 2 strangers... 2 very attractive, personable strangers, but strangers nonetheless.

"Stop woolgathering," Jessica told herself. "You have a poker game to play!" Jessica tossed the 7, & drew 1 card.
