Third Person (He/She)

Tom Scott couldn't believe his first time away from home was to join the Xavier school. While he knew that many small town farmer's boys like himself may seem like rubes when they take their first steps into The Big City...Tom knew that he was very different. Because he was a mutant. X Ray vision. Not as impressive as some massive hulking super strength badass and probably not near as useful as the mind-reading Professor Xavier can do; but Tom enjoyed it. Until the headaches, that is.

Recently, he began developing severe headaches if he used his powers to stare through things any longer than about five minutes. He used to deal with his headaches by simply not using his powers and avoiding temptation. He would spend long hours in the corn fields of his father doing little more than reading whatever new book he had been able to afford. It was during one such "vacation from everything" that Charles Xavier visited the young man's mind via telepathy.

It was another quiet day in the corn and Tom was checking on the crops and reading his homework assignments for school when a voice out of nowhere came out and asked if Tom could spare a moment to talk. Not surprisingly, he thought hed lost his marbles. Maybe the headaches he'd been getting were some symptom of a much deeper psychological maladay. He began to grow concerned. But the voice explained that it was the tlepathic disembodied voice of a teacher, a mutant like Tom, and that he wanted to help Tom get over tje headaches and figure out some kind of noble way for mutants to use their powers for the good of all people. A few weeks later a bus ticket for New York came in the mail and Tom told his parents that he'd been accepted to a private school with full scholarship.

After a long ride, Tom had finally reached New York City. Someone from the school was supposed to pick him up at the station but with so many people it was going to be hard to spot a single person... especially when he didn't know what that person would have looked like or how they would have identified themselves. That is when Tom decided to...
