Jessica turned around and nervously looked for a place to hide, she saw a closet and went inside, Sally followed her. Inside the closet was dark, hot and … awkward. Both women had their bodies pressed against the other in order to fit in, both tried their best to ignore the other one and just wait this one out.
The door opened and the conference room got filled with people. An old woman wearing a lavish dress and expensive jewelry sat at the head of the table and put a laptop in front of her.
“What’s that for?” asked the office’s boss, a middle-aged bald man with a mustache.
“It’s for …how you say, thing that camera does? Capture? Of presentation for the shareholders.” Sally´s eyes widened, she was definitely not coming out now.
Minutes passed in almost complete silence. No one dared to chitchat in front of their CEO, making it a very uncomfortable experience for everyone involved. “I’m terribly sorry forthis. Sally is usually very punctual, I do not understand what happened. Her computer is here with the presentation loaded and ready to go.” The boss told the old lady.
“I’m disappointed Stephan. You talk so highly of her, I do not appreciate being made to waste all so much time. If she does not show up soon, consider her fired”
Sally eyes widened even more, was keeping her dignity intact worth her job?
