After deciding on what he was going to tell her, Tom quickly made another wish. ‘Sarah will immediately believe any explanation I give her for any changes done to her by the coin.’ That done, he went into the living room to find her watching television, and she quickly turned it off as he entered, a blush on her face. Tom had to wonder what she’d been watching, but her question interrupted that train of thought. “So, did you find out what did this to me?”

Lying through his teeth, Tom nodded. “Yeah, I did. It’s pretty rare, but there’s some kind of virus that’s changing people. A few have been part horse, like you, but others are part snake, or cow, or goat. Right now, there’s no known cure, the scientists are still researching it. Until they do, they recommend everyone go about their lives as normal.”

Sarah was looking at the carpeted floor, looking annoyed. “Easy for them to say, they don’t have a horse’s body from the waist down.” Suddenly, she started, as she realized something, and looked at Tom in fear. “Wait, how long is the incubation period? How is it transmitted? What if you get it?”

Having already predicted those kind of questions, he had answers ready. “The incubation period is a few hours before symptoms start, and it’s transmitted by any bodily fluid contact.” She looked like she was about to cry and the prospect of not being able to share any ‘bodily fluids’ for the foreseeable future, so Tom relieved her of that fear. “Don’t worry, Sarah, so far, the virus only affects women. Men can transmit it, but it doesn’t affect us.” With that made clear, he asked her, “Speaking of which...do you want to maybe try some sex with your new body?”
