There's no hurry with time-stop so let's stir this up!

How could one expect him to abandon one choice over the other? He casually whipped out the remote and hit TIME, freezing the scene. After the loud yells the silence was almost startling. But he just smiled as he had an idea for a function he hadn't tested yet. He accessed the more detailed functions of that button, and hoping he'd remembered the instructions his friend had given him right, attempted to rewind time by a few minutes. To his mild surprise it worked. In a blur of colors everything around him moved backwards, returning to how it was a good five minutes ago. Before restarting time he pointed the remote at the blonde, still sitting in the same spot looking equally annoyed, but her drink wasn't as near to being emptied yet.

Jack hit MC and instructed her to stay here no matter what happened. In case of emergencies he allowed her some leeway in deciding whether that referred to this chair or the immediate proximity of the restaurant, but made it clear she was not to leave his field of vision, whilst not noticing how she'd be taking that into account. They immediately resumed their talk of which Jack didn't think much interesting until suddenly the woman flared up.

Yes, no room for doubts, they were through. Or would have been, if not for Jack and his new remote. He's used that chance to get a closer look at her. The ravenhaired woman was certainly attractive, but not quite what he'd been hoping for at first.
