The town

You've been walking in the empty street for a little while when Study breaks the silence.

"Did you notice ?"

"Yeah, there is no corpses. And no blood either. It's like people have just left." You say, wondering too on what's going on.

"Maybe they were evacuated by the army."

"No... The army would have moved the car out of the way, so they could move freely around town. Here, it's like everyone would have walked away and left everything behind."

You look around and see the street not damaged except for the windows of convenient store and food market. The cars were everywhere and just abandoned on the spot, some had still their door open. You also noticed that few vehicles had their tank's trap opened. So, someone came back later to steal gas and food, which is a good sign. It means there are people somewhere.

"There is a clothing store right there, I'll get some clothes there, you should too." Study tells you.

"Go ahead, I'm coming in a moment." You answer.

She leaves and you walk in the street to a car with an open door. You sit inside and see that the keys are still on the ignition like you expected. You turn them to start the engine and, nothing. No sound, no starting engine. It confirms what you had in mind, an EMP. Everything electrical was fried in town and probably few miles around. That explain why the cars were left there and no sign of panic could be found. But not why everyone left and never came back.

You get out of the car and close the door. But as you're about to get back to Study, something passed in the reflection of the side mirror. It was too fast and you weren't paying attention, so you didn't see what it was. You quickly do a 180, but you only see the empty street and hear the silence. You frown as you wonder if you just imagined things, and then goes to the store a little bit in a hurry.

The door of the store is wide open, the place is just lighted by the light ray of the sun through the big windows. There is a large choice of clothes, untouched. And in the middle of it, Study is changing. Few clothes are on the floor around her and she's putting on the kind of tube dress you wear at parties, very short and expensive looking. As she pushes it down her butt and flatten the folds, you notice that she's not wearing any panties anymore, and she also have a tattoo on her right butt cheek, it's a spider with 'smack it' written under it.

At this sight, an erection start growing. Fearful that she turn and notice it you make a step on your left to hide behind a shelve, but only manage to hit it and make some noise. Study jump in surprise and turn to you.

"Holly shit ! You almost gave me a heart attack !" She shout in surprise.

You stammer an apology and run behind the racks of the men section. There, you take some boxer short, black pants and a white shirt. You also throw away your slippers and put on black socks and shoes. You then come back to Study and find her with sport shoes.

"Hu, sorry for earlier... I... hu..." You started to say.

"You needed to hide your erection." She cuts you.

Frustrated by her bluntness, you tell her. "You weren't wearing any panties."

Her eyes looks away and it's her turn to look embarrassed. "I... don't like them..."

You decide to not press the matter, but you still have a question. "Why are you wearing the kind of dress you wear at cocktail parties ?"

With that, she seems to come back to her normal self. "You know how expensive theses shits are ? I always wanted to have one. And now that's the apocalypse, nothing stops me."

"Fair enough."

"We should get a phone or find a PC."

"It won't do much, the town have been hit by an EMP, anything electric is dead."

You're not sure that she understood, but she make a sigh and says. "So what, now ? We try to find some food and take the road ?"

"We probably should take some weapon too, but yeah."
