The principal should lead by example

Nodding to the secretary, you barge through the door to Principal Harpe's office. She's not terribly popular with the student body, in spite of -- or probably because of -- her constant attempts to make herself seem "cool." As usual, she is dressed today in what she no doubt thinks is fashionable clothing: bright pink yoga pants, an over-sized sweater, and freaking ugg boots. Fortunately, you've got just the plan to get her back into the kids' good graces.

"Michael!" she turns away from her computer as you come in. "You really should have told me about this policy change. You're well within your rights to do it, of course, but I need to be kept in the loop!"

"I am terribly sorry, Ms. Harpe. It's just such an important issue that I had to address it immediately. I'm here about your uniform, actually; I want you to champion this new program. To show your support for the single-garment restriction, you're going to follow it yourself. The first Monday of each month, we'll hold a vote among the student body to pick the item you're allowed to wear that month. It'll ingratiate you to them, and prove just how important this policy is."

"Oh," Principal Harpe takes a second to process the news, looking down at her outfit nervously, "okay... Wh-what'll we do about this month? We've already missed the first Monday?"

"I'll just have to decide what you wear until we can get a proper vote..."
