The nurses bring Danielle back

You hear a knock on the door and see the nurses bringing Danielle in. She’s still asleep. As the nurses leave you sit next to the bed and caress her. After a while she slowly opens her eyes and smiles as she sees you.

“Hey,” you whisper. “How are you?”

“I’m fine,” she answers. “And there’s no need to whisper, silly” she jokes, which makes you both laugh.

“Do you want anything?” you ask her.

“I’m just tired, so I think I’m going to sleep some more if that’s okay.”

“Sure.”

Danielle quickly falls asleep. You stay with her and read a book in the meantime. Danielle wakes up just before diner time as doctor Meyer walks in.

“How are you?” he asks Danielle.

“I’m fine,” Danielle answers.
