The next day

Come the morning. Katie had a good nights sleep after a few drinks to cheer up and calm down from the previous night. 1 bottle of red wine down the hatch and feeling slightly worse for wear because of it. But the night before was done and gone and Katie could look forward to a new day. After finishing her first cup of tea, Katie headed into the shower to freshen up and shake of the last remnants of her hangover. First washing her hair and then her body. Turning the flow of the water off to laver her legs and armpits to shave them smooth once more. Once done, she turned the shower back on to wash away the remains of foam. Katie towelled herself down and walked into her bedroom to get changed and head out for a short while. "Just 2 more weeks until Halloween." She thought to herself. "I really have to do something different from normal this year." That's when she got the idea. "I know. Maybe I can persuade Mark to shut the restaurant for the night and throw a party." It was a long shot, but if Mark did truly have a soft spot for her then maybe there was a chance he'd listen and agree. But that would have to wait until she got to work spoke to him.

Katie headed off to the local park to relax and enjoy the late October sun warming her face. Sitting on one of the benches and watched as she saw a few people walking their dogs. New mothers pushing their prams and pushchairs, and a couple of kids bunking off school kicking their football around. But it was mostly peaceful until the ball came close to her. Katie bent down to pick the ball up and throw it back to the 2 boys. "Heads up boys. Incoming." Lifting it up over her head to attempt a thrown in as if mocking a side line, only for it to slip from her grasp and land behind her. The two lads started laughing at her attempt as she got up to retrieved the ball laughing at herself as she did. When she bent down to pick up the ball though, she inadvertently gave the boys a great view of her shapely butt. That soon put their snickering to a stop and mouths to water. One turned to the other "Fuck me, she's hot. Look at her arse." His friend replied. "Yeah. Better than any of the girls at school mate." Katie never heard them, but when she turned to them after picking the ball up, she knew. She saw the look on the faces of both of them, and smiled inwardly at herself. "Well at least they know a hot blonde when they see one. Typical young men, thinking with their cocks." She placed the ball on the floor and has more success at kicking the ball towards them. "Thanks pretty lady." One of the boys said. She waved at them to acknowledge and decided it was time to head home and get ready to start her shift at work.

It wasn't long before she was home and started to get herself sorted. Placing her clothes in the washing machine and watch the telly for while. Once the clothes where washed and dried she went to get changed and head to work for another night. Hoping that she didn't have to put up with another arrogant customer that would cause her to have bad night. Upon reaching work, she was greeted by Shannon, who walked up to her gave her a big hug.

"Katie. How you feeling now babe?" Inquired Shannon.

"Yeah I'm good thanks Shannon. I'm over it. That was last night and done with. But I've got an idea I want to speak to Mark about. I'll tell you later, unless Mark agrees, in which case he'll tell everyone."

"Oh, Sounds interesting. Tell me, come on Katie. I won't say anything." Raising her hand in the appropriate gesture. "Scout's honour."

"I don't want to spoil the surprise. All I'll say is Halloween is close. Leave it at that." Katie winked at her friend and walked in the door to start work.

The night passed smoothly without incident and no annoying customers. Only Mark, Katie and the kitchen staff remained in the building. Mark came out to the restaurant side and saw Katie standing by the door. "Still here? Everything okay?"

"Yes, fine. I just wanted to talk to you for a minute if that's ok."

"Of course it is Katie. You can always talk to me. A good boss always listens to his staff if they need to talk. So what's bothering you?"

Katie walked slowly toward him "Nothing's bothering me Mark. But, firstly. I wanted to say thank you for last night. You was so understanding and I'm extremely grateful for you looking over me slapping that prick when he insulted my mum."

"Don't worry about it. He deserved it. What else did you want to talk to me about?"

"Well. The restaurant has done really well at late and I was hoping that you consider closing up for one night. Hear me out. It's close to Halloween and I was thinking about throwing a party for my friends and family. Everyone here will be invited, especially you. None of us get to enjoy ourselves at night that much due to the nature of the business. It would only be for one night and being Halloween it would more than likely be a quiet night anyway." Katie looked at him with hope in her eyes.

Mark thought about it for a second. "You know what Katie. That might not be a bad idea really. We could all use a break. But first, let me ask you something." Katie nodded." Ok. You know I'm engaged, So, please don't be mad at me for asking this, but tell me this isn't some ploy to try and get me to come to yours and try and get me to sleep with you. I know you're attracted to me. It's written all over your face. Hell if I was single I'd let you. But I don't want cause any issues with my future wife. She already thinks you're trying to get me in the sack."

"I promise. It's no ploy. Bring your girlfriend too if you want. She seems nice and I'd rather not have her as an enemy. And I really don't want to cause you any problems. I only come up with the idea today. Hopefully, she and I can work things out and you can put your mind at ease knowing that you won't have to worry about her being suspicious of me anymore. But you're right. I do like you. But you're my boss and WE have to remain professional. Deal."

Mark looked up at the ceiling and smiled. "Ok Katie. It's a deal. Go and make arrangements for your party and I'll tell everyone we have the night off on Halloween for your bash. Now go home. I need to get some sleep myself too you know."

Katie jumped up and hugged Mark. "Thank you Mark. You're a star." She bounced out the door knowing she could throw her first ever party at home. "It will double up as a house warming party too. Well, flat warming party."
