What's next?
The meaning of Jodie
The afternoon after her proposal, Jodie sat in a small outdoor cafe with her soon to be mother-in-law as Christmas music played softly. Iris wore black three inch heels and a dark blue knee length skirt and a white blouse and a deep mauve coat. While Jodie wore a white dress with small red flowers, thick stockings to warm her bare legs and simple four inch heels, matching Iris's height. Iris had helped Jodie coordinate her outfit, explaining that they were going somewhere "upscale and it is imperative that we look our best."
"Right…" Jodie bit her lip nervously, trying to decipher if she was genuinely trying to be nice or subtly slamming her.
"It means important darling." Iris explained without being asked.
Jodie smiled excitedly as they finished their mimosas and small finger sandwiches after rich food in tiny portions which reminded Jodie of the gala. "I'm, like, really glad you, like, asked me to brunch." Jodie smiled to hide some of the nervousness she felt.
Iris forced a smile on her face as she added another item to her mental checklists of things to fix about this woman before she was introduced as her daughter-in-law, "Think nothing of it dear, as my husband said you will be family soon. It is important we get to know one another." Jodie nodded happily, "For instance, I know you play the piano just wonderfully, but I am afraid I do not know much else about my future daughter-in-law." Jodie smiled, feeling a warmth spreading through her. "Are there any other instruments you play for instance?"
"Oh yeah totally. I used to play the guitar, I've played a bit of drums in, like, in this band."
"A…band?"
"Yeah! We didn't, like, get very popular or anything big, just a few local clubs."
"You played in a band in clubs?"
"Y-yes ma'am. We didn't get much call for classical music like we played last night…but, like, I actually get to play some where I work now though."
Iris' smile never wavered as she said, "That is just wonderful my dear. It sounds like you have a lot of talent." Jodie's smile grew even further than she thought possible. "Tell me, Jordan, who is your favorite artist?"
"Oh that is a tough question." Jodie thought for a moment, "I can't pick just one but I'd say my top five would have to be Crass, Slayer's amazing of course, and like if we're talking classics, Poison is-"
"No dear, I meant an artist such as a painter."
"Oh…um…" Jodie bit her lip as she tried to remember any of the number of painters she heard about while in school but the more she tried to think of a name the more nervous she became that she was taking too long which made it even harder for her to remember any name.
"That's okay dear, I have a special treat for you today nonetheless. Oh, perfect timing." She said as her driver, Sebastian, pulled up to the curb.
Jodie smiled, not only because she loves surprises, but also because she had remembered to order something special for Sebastian this time. After Iris slipped elegantly into the held open car door Jodie stopped and held out a small white paper bag to the blank faced man, "I hope you like pastries." Sebastian looked at the bag for a moment before it registered to him that she was giving it to him.
A small smile inched across his face as he took the offered bag, "I shall devour it with gusto. Thank you mum."
Jodie giggled and gave the man a quick hug and a small kiss on the man's cheek, "Call me, Jodie." She happily got into the car with Iris.
Sebastian closed the door before taking the bag and himself into the driver's seat, it was a small gesture but it was certainly something none of the Wesker's had done before. And if what Carlos has said was true she would be a welcome addition to the Wesker family as far as he and Carlos were concerned.
Meanwhile in the backseat Jodie was excited still as she imagined the beautiful stores that would absolutely outpace the mall they were about to visit. After several minutes on the interstate Jodie found herself in what Iris repeatedly referred to as "the city" which to Jodie didn't seem much different from where they just left. Each building retained that quintessential Hamptons style of architecture. Jodie stared excitedly at the store front window mannequins adorned with the latest winter fashions. She was of course excited to be shopping but even more so she was ecstatic to find that she had another area in which she could connect her future mother-in-law. Of course such a rich woman would enjoy the finest of shopping trips. "Oh wow! Everything is just, like, so beautiful here."
"I'm glad you like it, perhaps you can convince Adam to come home more often."
Jodie nodded, it was clear to even Jodie that Adam was still that little boy who wanted his mother's love. "Oh totally! Especially if it means more shopping like this!" An excited giggle escaped her soft red painted lips.
"Oh, I'm afraid there has been some miscommunication. We are not going shopping today. Since it was our last day together I thought it would be beneficial if we went to an art museum." Jodie frowned; she didn't know much about art, she never really got it, if she was being honest. Who needs to stand in front of a painting of a bowl of rotting fruit for hours to understand the futility of life when you could simply listen to Pink Floyd instead. Iris saw the crestfallen look on Jodie's face and patted her hand, "Don't worry dear, I'll explain anything you don't understand." Jodie bit her lip as they pulled in front of the Janet lehr fine arts museum, no she didn't get art but…the way she said it with the look in her eye seemed more insulting to her than helpful. Seeing her face once again she remembered she was supposed to play nice for now and smiled the best warm smile she could and said "I mean that Jodie, not just about the museum, but you can reach out to me no matter when and I will be happy to talk to you. You don't have to ask any questions around others if you think they will judge you. Just call me after. You should never be treated like you are stupid."
A small smile fought its way to the surface, maybe she had misunderstood her intentions again, it wouldn't be the first time she was wrong. And she liked the idea of having someone with whom she could learn from, her own mother would get angry with her if she asked "stupid questions" that she felt Jordan should already know. 'Maybe it wouldn't hurt to, like, be a bit more classy.' she thought. "I'd love that." She said before she stepped out of the car smiling as she noticed a small piece of flaky crust and cream on the side of his mouth, no doubt he couldn't resist enjoying one of the pastries she had gotten him. She tried to discreetly signal he had food on his face by licking her lips. Sebastian cocked an eyebrow at the young woman. He had heard she was flirtatious but this was perhaps too much. 'Then again,' he thought as he looked her up and down and especially staring at her ample chest. Jodie leaned forward and gently used her thumb to wipe his lips clean before licking her own thumb clean enjoying what little remained of the snack.
Iris watched this with disgust, was she really this insatiable? Or was her son not man enough to take care of her needs? 'Maybe it is a bit of both' she thought as she exited the car and fixed the smiling Sebastian with a stare. She would have to ensure there was a clause in the prenup that were she caught cheating she would be left penniless. Given how much she flirted with and ogled men she wouldn't have to put up with this trollop more than a year.
Jodie tried her hardest to enjoy the art and pay attention as Iris explained the meanings behind all the paintings but after two hours she was incredibly bored. "Ah yes," Iris said in hushed tones as she had been doing since they entered, "This piece is lovely don't you agree? It depicts the union of two souls becoming one." Jodie stopped and stared at the abstract painting, the dark blue half figure was in stark contrast to the bright red half figure. What Jodie saw was not a fusion of two souls but rather one person being pulled in too many directions by the surrounding black birds and them ultimately ripping her apart. Jodie felt cold fingers pulling at her heart the longer she stared at the painting and for some reason an image of Eric formed in her mind.
Iris saw the small tear forming in Jodie's eyes and gently took her by the shoulder and led her to the next painting. For the rest of the afternoon Jodie saw no other painting that spoke to her quite as much as that one. It was a relief to be sure. She did at least see some pictures that she thought were pretty but still nothing else spoke to her.
That night was the last night they would spend at the Wesker's manor. The next morning she bid farewell to everyone including Carlos and Sebastian who were more than happy to receive their hugs. Adam's father allowed for a small hug and wished her and Adam safe travels. Iris likewise gripped Jodie's shoulders and kissed the air beside her cheek, "Do be sure and call if you have any questions about wedding details." The comment made Jodie smile despite the less than warm goodbye. When she got to Brandon she groaned quietly and licked her lips. Part of her wanted to see the huge cock she felt pressing into her thigh only days before. Would he be even better than Adam? Jodie frowned and forced herself to hug the large man.
"I look forward to seeing you again." He said as his hand quickly groped her butt, letting go before anyone else could see. She hated that some part of her liked the attention.
Adam's mother gave him a similar kiss goodbye to him as she did to Jodie. Jodie noticed his father and brother only shook hands before leaving him to drive away. She tried to think back to her interactions with her own father and realized they didn't even have that much of a relationship, but their relationship ended long before she reached adulthood, 'I guess it's just how men are.' she thought.
Hours into driving later and Jodie had come to a conclusion in between the odd fantasy of her and Eric, her and Adam, and just to make her life more complicated, her and Brandon. Jodie felt a familiar hunger in the pit of her stomach. Jodie reached over to Adam's crotch, her diamond ring glinting in the sunlight as she pulled at his zipper. "Miss Applebottom, this is a very dangerous thing you're doing." Adam smiled.
Jodie giggled, "That makes it fun, and it's not going to be Applebottom for long."
"Oh you'll always be an Applebottom to me." He chuckled. Jodie smiled before opening her mouth and taking in the head of his cock to lube him up as Adam continued to drive and moan with pleasure. She wanted so much more but this would hold her over for now. Adam would have the rest of their lives together to satisfy her cravings. He was certainly a decent man capable of great change. At least he has shown he would try. Eric would be happier without her dragging him down and he could find a real woman worthy of his love.
