The infection had yet to start

He slammed the door of the restaurant open, running right through the reception into the building. There was a bit of commotion, but he didn't care. He could get kicked out later, as long as it meant he could stop this.

He ran through the tables, hoping he could recognize whoever had the virus before they could split, and ran through each table. He looked by again and again and again, only to find absolutely nothing. He didn't really know what the first victim looked like, and there didn't seem to be any sign that any of them were about to duplicate.

Mark was kicked out of the restaurant, but left more confused than when he came in. It seemed like the fate he was fearing had yet to occur, or maybe it wasn't going to happen. He didn't know, but for now he was a bit relieved.
