scaping from Naboo, the Queen's Royal Starship is damaged by fire from the Trade Federation battleships in orbit, and you decide to stop over on Tatooine for repairs. The desert world, far from Coruscant, is controlled by the Hutts, and the Republic has little authority here.

You are aboard the Royal Starship, landed on the outskirts of a settlement called Mos Espa, along with Obi-Wan, the Queen and her retinue of handmaidens and Royal Security Forces.
