The four and the seven

Denise looked at the 5 cards in her hand:
3 of spades,
3 of hearts,
4 of spades,
7 of clubs,
& the Ace of clubs.

The low pair was pretty pathetic, but all she really had to go with unless she kept the ace; & That was only useful if someone else had an equally-bad hand. With this in mind, she kept the 3s, & discarded the rest. She got the queen of hearts, jack of clubs, & the 3 of diamonds.
Meanwhile, the other players replaced their unwanted cards, & everybody was ready to show their hand. Heath showed a pair of 10s, Denise 3 3s, & Bev a pair of 2s. Tony sighed as he showed them that he had nothing.
"Well, you know the rules. What are you going to take off?", asked Denise with a cheeky, lopsided grin.
Tony took a while to think about what he wanted to remove.
"Do watches count?", he asked hopefully, & took his off of his wrist.
"Afraid not. No accessories or jewelery," Denise answered, smiling at his cheek.
"Looks like it'll have to be the shoes then," Tony said, kicking off his shoes.
"And the socks, baby!", Bev said, leaning close against Tony, & kissing his shoulder.
"She's right, honey," Denise said.
"Alright, alright," Tony complied, pulling off his socks, & putting them in his shoes.
"OK. Winner deals, so it looks like that's me again," Heath said, & began to shuffle once more.
Heath stopped shuffling, & began to deal.
