What happens now?

The final steps

As soon as the last syllable of the seraph's name passes her lips, the wall ahead of you glows with a piercingly bright white light. When your eyes recover, the wall is no longer there. You turn to Thalinya and make to speak, but she puts a finger to her lips. "Hush, child. I will wait here for your return. Go! You will need all of your strength!"

Not one to ignore an angel, you stride through the doorway, feeling a slight electric buzz across your skin as you pass through.

Now, what had appeared to be a dark hallway, has become a vaulted antechamber. The ceilings are high and arched, and the walls are covered in runes. Again, torch sconces lining the walls provide light.

Immediately you feel it. In the center of the chamber is a small room that, eerily, resembles a mausoleum or tomb. Surrounding this room is a veil of sparking blood-red energy. Within the energy, strange symbols swirl about and you can hear indistinct whispers. This must be Lilith's seal.

You know what you must do.

You approach the veil of darkness and put your hand to it.
