Who was introduced next?
The computer science engineer.
"Sàt pùih, I need to go to the bathroom," Iris said while she fiddled with her lapel microphone.
"Me too," Julie nodded, turning off her microphone.
A stagehand rushed to Iris' side to help her with her microphone before escorting the two women backstage.
"Hi, Jon, can you hear me?" Cindy asked.
"Aye aye," Jonathan replied with a thumbs up as he stood up and turned to face the wall of beautiful women on the big screen.
"I just want to apologize if I embarrassed you!" the young doctor explained nervously.
"It's okay..." he replied humbly with a smile.
"I'm sorry too!" Eva piped up.
The rest of the girls joined in asking for forgiveness.
"It's okay, girls," he said, holding up a hand to politely dismiss any need to apologize. "As a trained Navy SEAL, I am patient enough to wait out the next two years to plot out my revenge!"
The girls laughed but some of them were not sure if he was joking or not.
A stagehand escorted Julie and Iris back up the stage and then motioned Jonathan to return to his seat.
"Did I miss anything?" Iris asked her son as she sat down and they turned their microphones back on.
"We're going live in five... four... three..." the stagehand counted down as he walked off stage.
"And welcome back! We are continuing our interview with Jonathan Lee and nine of the twelve female members of NASA's Priapus Program!" Julie proclaimed.
The studio audience clapped.
"The next crew member we are about to meet is a computer science engineer," Julie announced. "Please welcome Zoe Chan!"
Natalie's portrait window shrunk and joined the rest of the women at the bottom of the huge LED screen and a young cute Chinese woman with black shoulder-length scruffy hair, thick pink-glossed lips, and huge circular glasses appeared.
"Um, hello," Zoe said nonchalantly, pushing up the bridge of her glasses with a finger.
"Ho oy!" Iris gasped at how adorable and innocent-looking Zoe was.
"Hi, Zoe!" Julie smiled. "I hope you won't be offended if I say you look very young -- if I didn't have your profile in my notes I would have thought you were sixteen-years-old!"
"Yeah..." Zoe sighed. "I get carded a lot..."
"Well, us Asian all look ten years younger than we actually are, right?" Julie chuckled.
Iris and the female crew members clapped with the studio audience in agreement while Jon politely smiled.
"Even though Zoe does look a high school student, she has accomplished a lot in her twenty-two years!" Julie told the audience. "A child prodigy like Jon, Zoe graduated high school at the age of 14, got her bachelors of science degree in mathematics at the age 18, and two years later she got her master's degree in computer science at MIT! Despite the minimum age requirement of twenty-five, NASA made an exception for Zoe due to her achievements."
The studio audience gasped before cheering and clapping.
Zoe seemed indifferent to the excitement and praise of her academic accomplishments. "I'm currently working on my doctorate in artificial intelligence that I should get in two years."
The studio audience clapped.
"So we'll be calling you Dr. Chan after you leave the Priapus Program?" Julie wondered.
"No, I will still have to talk to my doctoral dissertation supervisor before submitting and defending my research thesis," Zoe shrugged with blithe unconcern.
"So why did you chose to apply to Priapus Program?" Julie wondered.
"I thought it would be an interesting challenge of living in space without actually going into space," Zoe smiled excitedly. "I love science fiction and I want to help NASA make fiction into reality."
"But can you work and live with twelve other people in the same confined place for two years?"
"I guess..." Zoe shrugged. "I'll just be in my room working on AI code for my project."
"Can you tell us what you'll be working on?
"I'll be on a project with Allison, Leah, and Natalie on a robot," Zoe smiled proudly. "I'll be working on its artificial intelligence."
"A robot like R2-D2 or BB-8?"
"Kinda but cuter!"
"Why would you need a robot?"
"Since we won't be allowed pets we're going to test having a robot companion," Zoe replied. "Her name is ROBoT, which stands for Robotics On-Board Trainer, and she has voice and speech recognition, natural language processing, facial recognition, and audio-video recording technologies to help us with our experiments but mostly to see how well robots and humans can interact for future deep space missions."
"So you rather be around a robot than other people?"
"Sometimes..." Zoe shrugged.
"You're a bit of introvert?"
"I guess?" Zoe responded, pushing up the bridge of her glasses with a finger. "I just like being alone somewhere quiet so I can concentrate on my code."
"I apologize if I'm spoiling the introduction to the next crew member but she would probably explain it better than me," Jonathan interrupted. "Scientists have studied introversion and extroversion and found that their brains work a bit differently from each other. Introverts tend have a higher blood flow to their frontal lobe than extroverts do. That's the part of the brain helps you remember things, solve problems, and plan ahead."
"Ah, very interesting!" Julie nodded before turning to face the camera. "Since Jon mentioned her, let's meet the next member of the Priapus Program crew!"

Project Priapus
NASA's plan for a space harem.
One day human will journey to Alpha Centauri, the closest star to the Solar System, on a generation ship -- this means they need the best men and women on a space ark. The protagonist was inspired by Jonathan Kim, an American US Navy lieutenant (and former SEAL), physician, and NASA astronaut.
