The ceremony

Your bridesmaids help you get out of the room, carrying your dress’s train. You can’t help but feel like a princess or queen being waited on by adoring servants. They lead you to a limo and are driven to a magnificent looking cathedral. They usher you into a back room.

“We can’t have the groom see you,” one of the Bridesmaids says. The room is more of suite filled with comfy white couches to relax in.

“How many people are out there?” You ask.

“Don’t worry, dear,” your bridesmaid says, “Everyone was able to make it.”

About five minutes of waiting your father walks in. Your actual father, a little younger and in a tuxedo, but it’s him.

“How’s my little princess doing?” He asks, grin on his face.

“Daddy!” You scream, hugging him. “I’m so glad your here.”

“I can’t give away my favorite daughter if I weren’t.”

You hold back tears. Your father so happy to see you. Get married. It’s priceless.

Then you hear the processional music. The bridesmaids all begin giggling and get into their places. Your father holds you by the arm.

They escort you out. Each on of the bridesmaids walking with a groomsmen. Then your music stars, “Here Comes the Bride”. Your heart begins to beat faster and faster. The veil covering your face you can barely make out who are in the rows as you pass. Each click of your heels is one step closer to your beloved. Your father lets you go and you walk to a tall handsome man. He is as handsome as how you are beautiful.

The priest stands before you and reads off of his script. “Dearly, beloved. We are gathered here today...”

Your focus shifts to your heart. You can feel it racing. You are yearning to be with him. For him to take you as his lawfully wedded wife.

The priest gets to the I do’s. You don’t even hesitate. “I do!” You say with a big smile. “I do,” he says with a smirk.

He lifts your veil and your eyes meet for the first time. You lose yourself and throw your arms around him. You embrace passionately. Your lips intertwining in a passionate kiss. You feel fireworks exploding inside you. A tear rolls down your cheek.

“I now pronounce you man and wife!”
