The cause of the commotion?

Phoebe opened her mouth to speak but all that escaped was a hoarse croak. Her voice was still shattered from her screaming at Nathan earlier. She was seriously freaking out by this point, first she had woken up to her bedroom looking like it had been broken into, then she had somehow managed to physically push her little brother backwards with the power of her voice alone, and it seems Nathan had somehow managed to beam messages into her head. And those messages actually made sense, which was actually the most surprising thing that had happened out of that list.

Forcing her throat to make a sound, she barely managed to release a whisper "Nate what the fuck was that. Strange stuff has been happening since I woke up this morning. How are you putting messages in my head?!"

"Wait wait wait, what message are you talking about?" responded Nathan, starting to suspect what was going on.

"You said you were sorry and that you walking in on me was an accident and that you want me to forgive you. Well, you didn't 'say' anything really, its like I came to a sudden realisation, but I was aware that you had put that realisation in my head, if that makes any sense?"

".........So do you forgive me" ventureed nathan, chewing on the inside of his cheek anxiously.

"What? Yeah, sure whatever, Nate that isn't the important thing here, we need to figure out what is going on here!"

Oh thank God, Nathan thought. That was a massive weight off of his shoulders at least. But she was right, something seriously weird was going on here.

"sis isn't it obvious?"

"What could possibly be obvious in this situation Nate"

"Dude, we have Superpowers!" shouted Nate, pumping his fist into the air. Man, this was something he had been fantasizing about since he was a little kid. Who knew that this fantasy would one day FINALLY happen!

Phoebe stared at her half brother with a cocked eyebrow, arms folded. He really was a child at heart she thought to herself. Nathan noticed her sceptical expression and was momentarily broken out of his reverie.

"What? Aren't you hyped?" he questioned. It was strange that she wasn't more pumped about being given literal superpowers...

"Nate, you know that is a bullshit explanation. There is no way you have telepathy out of nowhere, and I can, uuh, shout well. Ignoring the fact that it's not scientifically possible, It's unfair that yours is so much better than mine" she explained to Nathan's progressively more dejected face, her voice slowly recovering.

"Pffff, not everything needs a scientific explanation sis, sometimes things are just the way they are because that is the way they are!"

"Yes, Yes they do Nate, that is how the world works. Anyway we can talk about this on the way to the bus stop, eat up we have to be gone in" Phoebe checked her phone clock "6 minutes, so get a shuffle on."
