Who was introduced next?
The biological engineer.
Jonathan stood up to stretch while stagehands came up the stage to hand out bottled water. Julie turned off her microphone and signalled to him to do the same to avoid a possible hot mic issue before they stepped aside from his mother to have a more private conversation.
"Jon, I just want to thank you again for coming on my show," Julie whispered, "especially seeing you appear to be under pressure from your mother on being a bachelor while we introduce your beautiful crew members!"
"And we're only half way through the roster!" he chuckled.
"Yeah..." she laughed.
"Anyway, it's all fine," he said, glancing over at his mother who smiled back at him. "I'm here to teach the public about the science of the project as a science communicator."
"That's very commendable!" Julie smiled. "My son looks up to you as a role model!"
"I'll send him an autograph picture!" he smiled before taking a swig of water.
"He would love that!"
A stagehand walked up on the stage to motion them to return to their seats.
"Is everything okay?" Iris asked her son as he sat down and turned his microphone back on.
"Yeah, Julie just wanted to how I'm doing," he replied. "I've been through worse on the battlefield." However, he had never told his mother or anyone outside of his tight-knit group of Navy SEALs about the horrors of war he had seen and experienced up close.
"We're going live in five... four... three..." another stagehand counted down, giving Julie ample time to turn back on her microphone.
"Welcome back to our interview with Jonathan Lee -- Navy SEAL, ER doctor, and astronaut -- and four of the twelve female members of the Priapus Program!" Julie smiled to the clapping of the studio audience. "Next we will meet a biological engineer. Please welcome Eva Lee!"
The studio audience clapped as Kaylee's portrait windows shrunk and joined Cindy and the triplets at the bottom of the giant LED screen and a gorgeous Chinese woman with brown hair with highlights, arched thin eyebrows.
"Aloha! Nǐ hǎo! Hi!" Eva smiled, waving both hands excited at the camera.
"Aloha!" Julie chirped and glanced down at her cue cards. "Eva, you got your master's degree in biological engineering from the University of Hawaiʻi. As a biological engineer what will you be doing during the project? Not doing experiments like Dr. Frankenstein, I hope!"
"Far from it!" Eva giggled. "Unlike Biosphere 2, the Priapus Program won't be a true artificial, materially closed ecological system -- we will still be getting from the outside of the facility fresh air, water, and electrical power and as well as disposing of wastes, both human and inorganic. One of my projects is researching microbial fuel cells where we use bacteria as to generate bioelectricity from waste products!"
"So you can power your laptop with poop?" Julie smirked.
The studio audience laughed.
"Hopefully!" Eva laughed. "I'll be also working on controlled-environment agriculture to develop energy-efficient technologies to support year-round vegetable production from plants in closed environments such as the Priapus Program facility."
"Thank you, Eva," Julie smiled. "Next we have..."
"I want to add that Jon's hot!" Eva interrupted with a mischievous grin.
The studio audience laughed and then clapped while Jon smiled politely.
"...another engineer!" Julie continued after the clapping died down.

Project Priapus
NASA's plan for a space harem.
One day human will journey to Alpha Centauri, the closest star to the Solar System, on a generation ship -- this means they need the best men and women on a space ark. The protagonist was inspired by Jonathan Kim, an American US Navy lieutenant (and former SEAL), physician, and NASA astronaut.
