The Ultimate Team or the Ultimate Nightmare?

With no hesitation, I make my way to the full classroom and take a seat. This would be the last time I’d be seeing most of my classmates and truth be told, I was kind of looking forward to that. I didn’t particularly like or dislike any of them, but some were more obnoxious than others. The first person that comes to mind when I think of obnoxious is Naruto Uzumaki. I pity the poor kid since he doesn’t have many friends but it’s hard to feel bad for him sometimes. He’s cocky and boastful despite the fact that he failed the graduation exam when he first took it. He is just an idiot. I’m still shocked they gave him a second chance after how badly he failed.

The only thing worse then being on team with Naruto, would being on a team with Sasuke Uchiha. Well Sasuke isn’t as obnoxious as Naruto, I can’t stand being around him. He’s always been the top student and all the girls just love him. The few times I’ve spoken to him, he just brushed me aside like I was an insect or something. And it didn’t help that every girl in our class had a huge crush on him.

The first Sasuke fangirl that comes to mind is Sakura Haruno. Sakura and I used to be pretty close when we were younger. In fact, I had a crush on Sakura before I developed feelings for Tenten. But Sakura would only ever talk about one thing and that was Sasuke Uchiha. Like all the other girls in our class, Sakura loved everything about the gloomy Uchiha. I never stood a chance. The two of us slowly began to drift apart as I grew closer and closer to Tenten. I wouldn’t mind being on a team with Sakura, it would be nice to catch up.

I pull myself out of my thoughts upon seeing Iruka Sensei enter the classroom.

“All right everyone, I have an announcement to make before we begin. Due to having an odd number of graduates, there will be one team that consist of four Genin”, Iruka explains from the front of the classroom.

That must be because of Naruto. After all, he originally wasn’t supposed to have graduated. I’m sure everyone else is thinking the same exact thing.

Iruka starts listing off teams one after another. None of them catch my attention until he says, “Alright next up is Team 7. Team 7 will be the four man team. The members are Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno...”

Geez, that’s going to be nothing but trouble. I know for a fact that Sakura can’t stand Naruto. Poor guy is as love struck as I was when I was a kid.

Iruka continues, “The third member will be Sasuke Uchiha”

Well at least Sakura got on a team with Sasuke. It’s probably a dream come true to her. Naruto on the other hand is probably livid about the whole thing. I feel bad for the poor guy who ends up with them.

Iruka finishes listing off the members of Team 7 by saying, “And the final member will be John Doe”

My eyes widen in horror upon hearing that last name. Out of everyone, it just had to be me didn’t it?! Of course I end up on a team with the two people I can’t stand the most! At least I’ll have Sakura there but she’ll probably just be drooling over Sasuke the whole time.

I dart my eyes across the room to find my new teammates. Naruto has his arm crossed and seems to be mumbling to himself. He’s probably complaining about being stuck on a team with Sasuke. Sasuke doesn’t seem fazed by the team at all. And Sakura, is actually looking right at me. I can’t help but feel my cheeks heat up when we accidentally lock eyes. Instead of looking away, she just shows me her cute smile.

Okay, maybe this won’t be too bad after all.
