The Question

Jasmine swirled the wine in her glass. It'd been three months since moving to Avonwick and so far it'd been ideal. Still, there was one addition that her and Amber wanted to add to their lives. After a generous sip, Jasmine put her glass down. Amber kissed her wife on the side of her forehead.

"Hey. It'll be okay Jazzy. No matter what happens."

"Of course."

Amber nodded, wishing she could do more. There was nothing more helpless than seeing her wife nervous. She didn't quite know what she'd do if Spencer said 'no', and she feared what Jasmine's response would be to the same answer. All her pondering stopped when Spencer rang the doorbell. After a deep breath, Amber headed to the front door and opened it.

"Hey Spence." She said.

"Hey."

"Come on in."

Spencer followed Amber to the couch, where Jasmine had sat down.

"Hey Spence." Jasmine said.

"Hey."

"Can I get you anything?" Amber asked.

"I'm fine. Thanks." Spencer sat down. "So what did you guys wanna talk about?"

"Well... it's... how do I say this..." Jasmine stammered.

"We're looking to expand upon our family." Amber interjected. "And uhh, we don't the father to be random, if that makes sense?"

"I think I follow."

"Well, we want you to be the father, if that's okay."

"No pressure Spencer." Jasmine added. "We just thought it'd be nice if it was you."

"Well... I can't say I was expecting this but umm... I'm flattered."

"Do you need some time to think on it?" Amber said. "We get it's a big decision."

"This what you guys want?"

Jasmine nodded. "We've talked about it to each other."

"Well, I'd love to help you guys."

"So you'll do it?" A tear went down Jasmine's face.

"It's a yes."

Jasmine let out a nervous laugh, as Amber hugged her wife. "I told you he'd say yes."

"Thank you so much Spencer."

Spencer left his seat to sit next to Jasmine. "Of course Jazzy. You guys have been so good to me and Amy. It's the least I can do."

He kissed her forehead, as Amber let go, allowing Jasmine to kiss his lips. After they shared another kiss, Amber said "Looks like you two aren't wasting any time."

The two laughed to Amber's statement before Spencer said "Well, guess there's nothing left to do but to do it."

"Guess so."
