Chapter 5
by
The Second One
Who do you target?
The Priestess
You quickly decide that a soon-to-be fireball caster is more dangerous then a Paladin moving at a slow waddle.
You lunge forwards, smiling as your unholy sword cuts a black arc through the air, invisible in the darkness. The Priestess is sent flying by the **** of your swing, slamming into the ground a good five feet away.
The Paladin, Jonah, attempted to charge you again, his ten second speed loss having worn off. Your sword intercepted his own as you spun around, blessed steel meeting cursed steel, and the darkness won out. Jonah was disarmed from the **** of your parry, his sword clattering to the ground a good twenty feet away. He looked up at you, fear evident in his eyes, as you brought your sword back down.
Yes, he hadn't turned off his parental filters! Your sword cut through his armour like paper, the blade nearly bisecting him from shoulder to hip. You planted a foot on his chest and kicked, pushing him off your blade and onto the floor.
Then a fireball flashed over your head, igniting the chandalier and revealing you to the badly wounded Priestess, who cried out when she saw you standing over her slain comrade. She went to conjure another fireball, but you cast Illusion of Madness again, revelling in her terror as it failed to appear. You laughed evilly, a deep booming that echoes through the quiet hall.
You approached, looked down at her, raised your sword, and then...
What happens?

Game Monster
From Creep to Boss
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
