The Press Conference/Mindy Removes Superman/Intergang Attack

Clark had stayed at Mindy's all day preparing for the press conference later on, Mindy had been with home, most but would slip away to confirm the details of the Intergang attack to come, everything was in place, by this time tomorrow the city would learn to fear Intergang again. Mindy approached Clark in the living room, "Clarkie, I think we should go on a trip, there's a lovely villa on Billy's...I mean my private island, where we could go and relax for a week or so what do you think?", Clark clearly nervous about the press conference "Do you think it's the right time? The Press is going to have alot of questions", Mindy could tell Clark was so beguiled by the perfume she just had to spray it at him and he'd comply, sne reached into her pocket and pulled out her perfume and sprayed some on her wrist and waved it in his face not even bothering to keep up the subterfuge "Oh come on 1 week with me on a deserted island and...", she reached into her bag and pulls out the smallest bikini Clark had ever seen and held it against her frame, "I'll bring this if you bring your Super suit..." Clark laughs "besides you've been so distracted lately what with the robberies and all, you'll come back refreshed I'll make sure of that" she rubs his shoulders "You know you're right Mindy, I haven't had a break in years I deserve this" Clark replies, "OH GOODIE, ILL MAKE THE ARRANGEMENTS" she runs out of the room excited as soon as she gets far enough away she calls Tempus "It's done, Superman won't be a bother".

Diana and Rolf arrive and begin to setup Diana looks at Superman "Are you ready for this? Life will never be the same again, your going to be a star, book deals, movie roles, now you're going to be humanised, you're going to be the next big thing", Rolf looks at Diana "Pouvons-nous le voir sortir du costume pour être sûr qu'il est bien celui qu'il prétend être?" Diana looks at Superman laughs "No Rolf, although I wouldn't mind it, we go live in 10". Mindy comes out of makeup "Are you ready sweetie?", Clark looks pensive, "Mindy I'm having second thoughts about this" she smiles and spritzes his face "We've been over this Cla, I mean Superman, it's the only way we can be together", Clark dumbstruck by the spray "I guess you're right Mindy, god I love you" he goes to kiss her she holds a hand up "Makeup honey" and air kisses him.

Meanwhile outside Lois and Jimmy are skulking in the bushes, "How did I ever let you talk me into this?" asks Jimmy, "You're my friend, you're Superman's friend...and the planet is paying you overtime" replies Lois. "Ok Jimmy if anyone asks you're a Top Copy groupie and you're here to meet Diana Stride", Jimmy with a wry smile "She is pretty hot", Lois just makes a pft noise. Jimmy and Lois sneak up to the door where two of Mindys private security team (Intergang) are guarding the door, Jimmy tries to walk through but gets stopped, "Where do you think you're going Kid" asks the first stopping him, "I'm just here to see Diana" he makes a sprint for it shouting "DIANA! DIANA!" Lois sneaks by as the security are pinning Jimmy down, "Well that's one way to do it, poor Jimmy" she sneaks up the stairs.

Diana is in shot Rolf gives the motion we're live in "5, 4, 3, 2, 1". Superman pauses for a moment, looks at Mindy, who smiles back him "Go ahead sweetie", Superman looks into the camera "I do lead a double life, not to decieve but to protect those I love, but it's come to my attention that if I'm going to be with the woman I love...heart and soul" he turns to Mindy and takes her hand, "I need to stop living a lie, you all know me as Superman but my secret identity is...is...",

"STOP!" everyone turns as Lois bursts into the room, "Lois what the hell are you doing here?" Shouts Superman, "I've come to put a stop to this you're not in your right mind and I know why..." She notices the camera "Oh hi, I, like a lot of you was wondering why Superman is so infatuated with Mindy Church", Diana interjects "Her timeless beauty, her charitable work, her millions of dollars?", Lois retorts "Well yes other than that, it's her perfume", Diana more used to Televised debates "A perfume that won the heart of Superman ha order me a lifetime supply Miss Lane", Lois replies "It contains a pheromone that causes someone to fall madly in love" Mindy looks uncomfortable squirming in her seat, Superman stands up "Like Mirandas perfume?", "Exactly" says Lois, "The one that didn't work on me" he laughs at her, "No she's...", Superman spa her mid sentence "I don't want to hear it Lois, you came to Mindy's office, threatened her..." Diana whispers to Rolf "are you getting all this? This is great", Rolf nods. Lois shouts over Superman "She's the head of Intergang why can't you see that?" Superman rages "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS GET OUT OF HERE LOIS, MY REAL NAME IS..."Lois throws a glass of Champaign onto the camera causing it to spark...Diana shouts to Rolf "Are we still on?" He shakes his head "Non". Lois shouts "NOW I'LL LEAVE, YOU BONEHEAD" she storms out.

Mindy is feigning tears but is ecstatic that the cameras caught Lois' outburst a handy tool to discredit her with later on, it might not have gone as planned but there's still something she can use to her advantage. Diana is frantically calling the network to find out what's happening they're airing an old episode a puff piece she'd done on Lex Luther a couple of years ago, Diana can't believe she missed the announcement she's trying to get Mindy to agree to appear again, "Maybe when we come back Diana", "Where are you going?" She asks, "a well deserved holiday come on Superman" he follows her to the bedroom.

Diana and Rolf pack up and up and leave, Mindy and Clark start to pack, Clark has a single case, Mindy has 7 or 8, Mindy asks "Should we head to the airport?", "We don't need an airport" he says as whisks her in his arms and in 2 minutes they're there, he flies back for the luggage, they settle in. Over the next week Clark and Mindy frolic on the beach, in the pool, eat gourmet food, drink the finest wine.

Meanwhile Metropolis was about to get a rude awakening the day after the Top Copy debacle starts with a Bomb going off in the natural history museum in downtown Metropolis, bringing out the police, fire department and ambulances, while the emergency services are busy Intergang strike in synchronised attacks hitting 3 separate banks at once, another team smashing the windows in all of the shops in the shopping district lighting fires in the street, another Intergang team smashed their way into the police department, stealing equipment destroying the rooms, opening the cells and that was only day 1. During the remainder of the week they ran a campaign of false flag 911 calls, sending police away from the attacks, they even attacked the daily planet, smashing windows, destroying equipment the attacks culminated in a synchronised attack on Strykers island, leading to a riot and many of the inmates escaping.
