The Middle Path

I decided to head towards the castle. I mean, that was where I needed to go in order to get out of this place. I just hope I'm not in over my head going through the front door. As I crossed the bridge, the castle just seemed to get bigger and bigger. It was then that it occurred to me that I really didn't have any idea of what I would be looking for in there. Let alone where I could find it. And who knows what kind of traps Darkness had for me.

As I got the end of the bridge, I came to a dead end. Above me was a pulley system that seemed to function as an elevator. Since there was no doors or anything like that, figured that was the only way to get in. At the platform that one of elevators would set on when it was down was what appeared to be some kind of PA box. There where two buttons. A red and green button. There where no labels so I didn't have the slightest idea of what they did. Maybe one of them would put me through to Darkness and I could convince him to let me in.

Then again, it would be crazy for me to just announcement presence like that. Who knows, maybe it was a trap. I could possibly get inside using my rope. If I had enough length.
