The Mage has a few tricks up his sleeve

It was simple enough for Robin to conjure a small ball of light, sending it into the air to give her enough vision to spot her enemy. He had tried to hide behind one of the trees, it seemed and was still silently humming an enchantment when Robin's light went floating past him, illuminating the back of his bald head. He didn't even have a chance to adjust his shocked expression before Robin was on top of him. Just like the rest of them, her electrified blade pierced his shoulder, all to easily delivering the wattage to bring him to his knees.

Only... this time, something was different. Rather than jerking with energy and falling **** to the ground like the rest, the mage instead let out a horrible, blood curtling scream. His body shook and convulsed, wracking back and forth with such **** that it looked like his bones might break from the trauma. Even worse, as Robin drew back in horror, the place where her rapier had touched the cloth of his robe began to ignite.

"No, no! Oh, nonono!" Robin drew back in panic. What had she done?! The voltage hadn't been any higher than the others... was he just really **** to electricity?! She didn't have time to think as the man began to burn alive before her. Robin looked around in a panic for something to douse the flames, momentarily forgetting her magic in utter shock. But... she was no healer. Even if she did manage to stop his suffering, the wounds she had inflicted would definitely be enough to...

"Am... I a murderer?" Robin fell to her knees, helpless to save the man she had so ruthlessly cut down. Only... the mage himself was very much alive and was, in fact, standing not more than a few paces behind her. Robin's shame and horror left her distracted enough that she failed to notice the well of arcane energy building up behind her as the man drew in more and more power inside himself. She was utterly oblivious and distraught, right until the moment that the illusion of a burning, screaming man faded and the powerful binding spell the real mage had been channeling latched onto her limbs.
