Chapter 17 by NeedAMedic NeedAMedic

Can Robin escape from the mage's entrapping spell?

The mage disarms Robin; she cannot escape

The bindings felt hard, like cold iron but strangely pulsing with what Robin recognized as the hum of raw arcane power. She was powerless against them as her pulled her arms together behind her back, pinning her wrists together just high enough that she was almost **** to bend forward. Her feet were pulled together as well, and Robin found herself slowly drawn into the air and turned to face her opponent.

Struggle as she might, Robin couldn't break free from the shackles-- their grip was far too much for her physical strength alone and when she began to channel a counterspell into her sword, the shackle twisted her wrist violently. Robin gave a gasp of pain and dropped her blade. Mustering such power couldn't have been easy on the man, and when Robin looked at his face, twisted and contorted with the effort of casting such a powerful binding, it was clear she was right.

"You... wicked, evil man!" Robin yelled at him, baring her teeth. "Coward! You were too scared to fight me face to face, so you had to trick me, huh?! Why don't you fight me like a real man, not a--- ow!" Robin cut off as the shackle around her wrist twisted her arm.

"Silence! Please." the man said, rubbing his temple with one hand. He strode over past her, picking up her rapier from where it had fallen to the ground. "This spell is hard enough, and your voice is giving me a headache."

As he walked back around in front of her, Robin stared down at him defiantly. "If you plan to kill me, do it now or you'll regret it forever! I'm not scared at all, do your worst!"

"Are you really so eager to die?" the man asked, his tone hard and sardonic. While he spoke, the bindings began to move. Robin was lifted further off the ground, her legs and arms were pulled wide apart until she was spread eagle in the air"I have other orders, unfortunately. Though I would love to shut you up."

"I said I'm not scared of you!" Robin stared him down. The mage stepped forward, pointing the rapier at her until it rested just off of her chest. The point rose upward to her neck, then with a slow, careful movement, her began to cut away her shirt.

"I'm not allowed to kill you..." he mused as the rapier cut ever lower. The rich fabric of Robin's disguise cut away like paper and soon her chest was free from its bindings, exposed to the cold night air. The rapier moved lower again, exposing the other area that held the man's interest. "Though perhaps there are other ways to make that pretty little mouth of yours fall silent."
