Where would you like to go?
The Kingdom of the Sun, Zinpangu (Yokai)
The Kingdom of the Sun, Zinpangu.
A peaceful island on the far east shores. Insular and isolated – home to many varieties of monster girls both vicious and docile. Zinpangu has a long and storied history, one which many outside of the island are deeply ignorant of. Amongst the mountains and temples there are many skilled scholars who attempt to piece together the history of this place.
At it’s one and only port you make land. The journey was arduous and difficult, and by the end the ship was running desperately low on supplies. Fortunately, you survived, a wanderer in a foreign land. That being said there are many human-monster settlements to make home in. One could easily live a peaceful life here without trouble.
The port is bustling with many different people of all shapes and sizes. They move heavy crates, moor fishing ships and hawk goods from stalls. The eastern architecture is beautiful and practical, with red wooden trim splashing the town in a crimson tone. The occasional monster girl flies overhead or walks on the arm of a burly sailor.
You feel a bit out of place with your western clothing and bewildered gaze. You stick out like a sore thumb. The monsters in settlements like this are friendly though, the real danger is out in the wilds where more aggressive creatures live and hunt. Zinpangu is renowned for it’s co-operative spirit, it’s a far cry from the cutthroat homeland you come from.
The question is what are you here for?
The port is the home of many different people, sailors from kingdoms and empires hoping to make profitable trades, military officers guarding embassies and dignitaries, simple farmers and fisherman keeping their heads down, researchers and scholars, and spiritual men and women who seek religious enlightenment. You’re never a step away from any one of these things.
So, what are you?
