The Great Patrician Houses & The Royal Family

The Patricians refer to the 8 Noble Houses that rule over the Scarlet Empire in Proxy to the Immortal Empress and Her Royal Family. The Patricians are the wealthiest and most powerful of the ruling class, titans in comparison to the other much smaller and weaker Noble families. Low in number due to them being composed of the infamously infertile Vermillico Race.

Each of the Houses serves as Wardens of the 8 regions on Mars, commanding the Lowborn and Highborn nations in the Name of the Empire, however, each house is quite Unique, differing from one another in appearance and their brand of Lordship over their underlings. The Houses are as follows:

• House Deima, Rulers of the Aten Territory
• House Ios, Rulers of the Extremis Territory
• House Callista, Rulers of the Shoth Territory
• House Lunus, Rulers of the Raan Territory
• House Hyperius, Rulers of the Spart Territory
• House Nyx, Ruler of the Krake Territory
• House Diones, Ruler of the Tellu Territory
• House Leonell, Ruler of the Severed Lands

The Forever Regal

All who call Marte their home, know of the Immortal Empress, for it is her neverending will that dominates the Red Globe as well as all of its inhabitants. However, those born of lowly blood know only of her terrifying vassals, while the Nobility born to govern Marte in the Empress' immortal name are much closer to her. As a result, the rich and powerful among the Nobles know that the Empress is not the only member of her Royal clan, they know that there is... or more accurately, once was, a family for which the Empress called her own.

The Titan: Vanguard

The Titan: Gaian of Slaughter, is the left hand of the Empress, serving as her closest servant. While all others have faded, fallen to slavery, execution or much worse, the Vanguard is a silent protector who questions not the will of his mistress. Although many see the hulking beast that stands forever at the Empress's side, none dare even approach the empress in anger or insult her grace with the Titan at her side... and even less so with his opposing compatriot.

Saint Piety the Pastor: Pale Priestess

The only known living biological relative of the Empress and the Youngest of the Holy Trinity. the Pastor is seldom seen after the **** of her sisters, the Joy and the Scholar; yet she continues to preach the Brass words to the masses, reinforcing the Empresses devout worship in the Scarlet Empire. The Pale priestess' was anointed as a holy being of the highest sanctity, born to spread Her Gospel as figurehead of the Brass Ministry. All save for the blood of the All-mother were deemed unworthy to look upon the Pastor and so her identity is hidden by "The Pearl Shawl". Any who see or have even claimed to see the Pastor are cleansed by the Ministry's Acolytes with **** prejudice, as an insult to the Pale Princess is an insult to the Empress herself.

Saint Joy the Ruby: Marte's Medium

The Middle saint of the Holy Trinity, also known as 'the Medium between all' was the patron lady of all joy on the Red Planet. The Saint of Joy was a daughter of the empress who would travel hither and thither from each of her Providences to soothe the pain of the masses who used their natural gifts to provide for the Empire, however some were hungry for their freedom from the Empress' divine rule. The First schism came into being, the races of Krake, Tellu, Spart and even the Laval Litchen rebelled against the Law of She, causing the gaping wound of civil war to bleed away the All-Mothers forgiveness. And so the All-Mother called for their utter segregation, casting down those who opposed her by revoking their freedom entirely.

The Joy felt such despair at the Schism, that she perished, unable to gaze upon such a painful world, or so the story says.

Saint Acuity the philosopher: Mistress of Mystery

Firstborn of the Immortal Empress, eldest of the Holy trinity; shrouded in mystery. The Acuity was once a fountain of knowledge, the greatest accumulator of wisdom that Marte has ever seen, a true master of the sciences. The Red planet studied all languages, all cultures, every creature and habitat she could find, all to further the Scarlet Empire... until she made the grandest of revelations.

It is said that the Acuity discovered the power of Mysteria and their glyphs, a sliver of the Empress' divine power. Little is known on the facts behind her Vanishing, all that is known is that before she passed on into legend, the word of Mysterian powers had spread amongst the populous, many among the Vermillican Aristocracy, rare among the highborn races and of course... even to the lowborn in times of antiquity.
