The Gap

Michelle led Lauren to the entrance of the Gap. Okay, a little tacky, Lauren thought. But, anything was better then nothing but a nightie with half her ass hanging out! She was getting so much attention, she was bound to get recognized sooner or later. She hid her face with her hair, but she saw a few classmates who were looking curious, as though her face was familiar.

Her mother pulled her on. Lauren stumbled bare foot after her. Her heart was pounding in her chest, her cheeks burning crimson.

They entered the Gap. Her mother finally released her hand.

"Stay here." Michelle commanded Lauren. "I don't want you wandering off."

"W.. where are you going?" Lauren asked.

"I'm going to pick out you're clothes, and I don't want you complaining about every item and making it take forever." Michelle explained, exasperated. "Then we'll try some on to make sure I got your size right. You look so different without you're special underwear!"

Lauren cringed at her mother mention of her Spanx and padded bra.

"Mom, keep you're voice down!" Lauren cringed. Her mother just ignored her.

"I'll just be ten minutes, half hour tops." Michelle said. "But, don't wander off, I'm not coming looking for you."

With that, her mother darted away. Lauren was left, hunched over, pulling down her nightie, alone in the Gap.
