Despite everything that has happened, Velma felt somewhat confident in her ability to at least try and outrun an assailant if she stuck to the clear path. Those thorns looked just too daunting. If she got tangled up in those, who knows how long it could take to **** herself through? The idea of once again being in bondage was far worse than being chased down by a masked man with a weapon. Over the course of her endless adventures with the gang, she had plenty of experience running away and it might come in handy right about now. Still, maybe charging headfirst was the quickest way to blunder right into another trap. Perhaps taking things as slowly and cautiously as she could was the wiser option.
