The Big Four

Created by the deity Yang, all living things throughout the Void live their lives according to its design. The Races of the Void are many and varied but here are the big 4 races that hold the most power.

The Elves

Similar to most Elves in fantasy settings these creatures were the first to gain sentience and therefore the first to be gifted magic. Lithe in build and strong in mind and spirit, with average lifespans reaching two hundred and fifty years, they have spent most of their time studying the mysteries of Aether and unlocking new powers to control their environments. Because they are the oldest and well versed in magic, they tend towards arrogance to the point that they consider all other races second class and display xenophobic tendencies towards them. Their greatest holdings are the Twin Isles, two continent sized islands that house most of the Elvish race and their High Council resides presided over by the Chancellor. Most Elves are very beautiful as their strict codes of perfection require all Elves to display their best attitudes, appearances and skills at all times. There is little distinction between Men and Women amongst them leading most to appear androgynous. Elves are also highly praised for their arts, and martial skills.

The Humans

The race of Humanity is the most prevalent race throughout the Void. Highly adaptable and multitudinous, they have gone to inhabit islands that other races have deemed impossible to settle. Diverse in all ways there is no one common thread amongst Humanity besides their fifty to one hundred year lifespan and their drive to achieve.

The Gnome

The youngest race of the big four to succeed in the Void the Gnome are a short, stocky and highly pragmatic race of miners, smiths, engineers and artisans. Born from stone their lifespan is infinite with most choosing to retire and return to the earth that birthed them or dying in battle with those who threaten their ancestral homes and colonies. The Gnome have a social structure based off the color of their hair which grows exclusively from the chin. From the time a Gnome is sculpted to the time that he returns to the Earth-Mother, he dedicates himself to working for the good of his people and mastering the art that is his calling.

The Orc'ca

The Orc is a vile and primitive beast that propagates itself through **** and pillage. Ranging between 6 and 7 feet in height with ruddy complexions and prominent lower jaws and brows, they live for the fight and the rewards that follow. Having no perception of Yin they each believe themselves to be invincible making them dangerous to face in any number. They are second only to Humanity in population as Orc'ca cannot help but fight amongst themselves as much as others.
