The Anubi Village
Amr went to fetch a new basket, having filled his current basket with barley.
The Anubi were a simple people. They loved to party and celebrate and... love, but they were also unafraid to work and provide for the village. It is said that the Anubi were the chosen people of one of the many gods that the Ozymandaic people would worship, and it was they who built the Necropolis back in the height of the Old Civilization's reign. A victim of time, conflict and colonization, the old city-state of Necropolis and the Anubi's hold over the desert has waned. The Anubi are happy though, their simple lives stimulated with trade with the other peoples of the desert.
Amr decided to go without his short linen skirt today and was walking naked as the day he was born across the village. This was normal in the village, many of the men, women and children working and playing in various states of dress and undress. The Anubi's philosophy on the matter (like many of the other tribes) is that if the jackal can live naked, then why can't the Anubi?
Anubi made it to his house, setting the full basket of barley on their kitchen table, only to be greeted by...
